I think all of Ayu's albums have an equal sense of awesoneness. They're all like, perfectly crafted in their own way.

ASFXX, I've yet to warm up to, but I love the albums that I've heard from LOVEppears onward. :)

LOVEppears is one of my fav. It's more techno compared to other ayu albums. Duty is still my most fav album tho.. :P

About favourite album... I can't choose... Each album has it's own snrong sides, but I don't like "A Song For XX", Ayu's vocal and anime-like music...:irked

There's one thing I dislike very much.

That is the term "anime music". There's no such thing, seriously. Ayu made a few intros/outtros for animes, if that is what is required to make music "anime music" then she's already there anyway.

IMO, it's more of the 'music' that was made back in the late 90s that is reflected.

It's a very synthy, electronic type of music. :)
It was VERY common in the mid 90s. Look at Ayu's IDOL ON STAGE performances.. :)

40 USD is just far too expensive. it is a good thing that i live in hong kong, where i can buy ayu's cd+dvd+poster for 12USD :)

wow i am sooo buying this when i go to hk or singapore this christmas (if i can go... i wish i can this year). Im excited for this, though a full album would be better. but this is still good. I love Startin and Born to Be, both are good songs. Startin had a really tacky pv which makes it fun to watch for me. Wish they made an edited version of Born to Be though. something less yellow. Beautiful Fighters is ok and Jewel has potential to be a really good song, similar to rainy day a bit, and I hope 1Love is gonna be way better than the commercial version (a bit too monotonous). My favorite of the year? Blue Bird, without a doubt. The summery feel is so infectious, that I always listen to it to make me feel happy. Plus, it is already my most played Ayu song, and is still showing no signs of slowing down in terms of play count :p Cant wait for this mini album. Hope this sells like Memorial adress and has a quality which matches or even surpasses it.

They did not do that with Memorial address, and it has not been announced. Currently the tracklist is only 7 songs and 7 PVs, but it also says "subject to change" so we can always hope for more.

I'm going to wait and see the cover before I order...BLUE BIRD's was gorgeous so was happy to get the poster,but (m)u is a good example of why its wise to wait at times!

I know that is harsh but I hated, no, strongly disliked and was dissapointed in (m)u mainly because we didn't have many album exclusive tracks. I was all excited thinking Ayu wouldn't release a 4th single this year, hence us recieving alot of new material for the album, but no. Avex had to go and pull this crap. Now I am gonna have to wait even longer for a GOOD ALBUM! ERRRRRRRRRRRR!

Isn't it a bit early to judge the album as bad already? ... althought I can understand your reaction, mine was the same until I relaxed a bit and thought about how much I actually like the songs that has been released this far.

I don't think a hidden track is really a good way to make an album sell, the album gets more free promotion if all the tracks are public or if the tracklist looks larger.

Nah, I don't think so. The GEO inclusion was planned from the very beginning, or at least that's how it seems to me after what I read about it.

If GEO wouldn't have been there, there would have been others.

Planned from the beginning? From what I read, she (not seriously) said she wanted to sing their songs and then sometime later she recieved the demo tapes...

I thought she recorded some (other) tracks in hawaii... either way, I thought that meant we'd be getting a flux of the other album tracks this year, but instead it's a mini-album >_<

She received the demo CD with all compositions on, and then she started working on them.

So she had all the compositions already, when the first Ayu-GEO song was released, and was probably working on several of them at the same time.

Just speculation.

It was just 1 LOVE / JEWEL in Hawaii.. and most likely the covers + new song were done in L.A in mid-September.


About the GEO:
She really was into SWEETBOX for a time and listened to their greatest hits [Raw Treasures I think..] a lot.. and she had three copies! One for work, home, and her car. So the staff was like "Hey, they're on avex! Let's ask if they can contribute to Ayu.."

And then the staff did their thing.. and.. yeah.. :|

It's pretty possible that she recorded her next single there, too.

Like with Startin'/BTB... last year.

No.. that was because she needed it done by the time Onimusha was released..

Since Startin' and Born to Be.. could be recorded alongside rainy day anyway, they did that.

The next single will definitely not debut as early as Startin' did :|

I think she'll end the tour towards the summer again, which means that it would start in march/april. I think we'd see another single before that.
