what's better, CD Japan or YesAsia and why? I'm going to order the CD+DVD version

Ranma Matsuri 3rd December 2010 07:15 PM

^Well... the majority here order from CDJ... so... :innocent

Spoiler:
I personally order from CDJ because I didn't like what I was hearing about YA's customer support plus they overcharge for certain things to cover that "free" shipping service they have. So major turn off for me. Even though CDJ doesn't overcharge for their items, the shipping is pretty expensive but they have a good coupon and frequent shopper points program and are really fast and reliable so I don't mind.

HMV is generally the cheapest option, they give good discounts to online customers and are generally known to be fast and reliable.

Not everyone's experience is the same though and some get hit with custom duties when they order from one vendor but not the other. So you really won't know until you try one.

I never had any bad experiences with YesAsia and I must say they have a very good costumer support. For example, when I ordered Love songs I chosed check or money order by mistake as payment method. I mailed them and had always the next morning an answer. Because here in Germany we never pay by check I hadn't known what to do and they answered me three times very polite and explained how I can pay by check or money order through paypal. And I always check who is cheaper before I order and because they have free shipping I always safe 10-20€, what I think is a lot!

It depends on how much you will wait for it.

I bought a lot of stuff from YA, and I never had any bad experiences with them and their customer support it's good. I've lost a parcel once a couple of months ago, I sent a message to them and they resended the parcel and I recieved it in 3 days :yes. And the free shipping are pretty convenient.
Unfortunately it takes a lot of times to arrive :thud but I'm a patient person so it's not a big deal for me lol.

I bought from CDJ just now and yes, the shipping are really expensive. But I use the christmas coupon and the 300 points they gave you. So I paid a little bit less. But well, almost everyone here said it's good as site and you have the parcel in time (if you choose a certain shipping, of course).

CD Japan is best. The cheapest shipping, SAL, is 500 yen for me, and right now CDJapan has 500 yen off with the coupon code winter2010 . With SAL I usually recieve my package about 3 days after the release date (I live in the US). When I used to order from YA the free shipping always took about 9 days :/
