BRILLANTE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> beloved

love in music 27th August 2011 07:02 PM

^duh, lol. BRILLANTE>most of her discography tbh
after hearing the orchestra version of beloved I appreciate the normal version more. her orchestra versions seem to be getting worse :( they don't even match up the vocal track to the instrumental sometimes >_<

Pieces_of_SEVEN 27th August 2011 07:06 PM

^^don't see a leak for beloved acoustic...?

brener 27th August 2011 07:15 PM

BRILLANTE is one of her best songs EVER!!!

Aderianu 27th August 2011 07:20 PM

I think orchestra version of beloved is much better than original... but still boring %)

JackieRos 27th August 2011 07:27 PM

brillante is an awesome song but the pv is wtf not in a good way.

To me another song sounded like a mix of ayu's songs, I heard no more words in the beginning,
I mean the way they sang it. I do like it but she could have done super good without that guy.

beloved is such a beautiful pv and I love why aloooooot.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 27th August 2011 07:29 PM

WHere are you guys getting beloved acoustic?

JackieRos 27th August 2011 07:34 PM

she should promote this mini with progress or BRILLANTE, they are perfection !!!
After i saw the pvs, i like Why... and i think is better than ANother Song.
beloved is a nice pv, not the best, but i like it!! she does remind me of Nelly furtado and her "In Gods Hands" PV

BRILLIANTE is a decent track. I don't agree with the outstanding praise but it is a nice song. progress remains my favorite from FIVE. What a great release, thank you Ayu!

PoetGirl 27th August 2011 08:13 PM

owlflight 27th August 2011 08:21 PM

I have her music playing loud while attempting to be an adult and clean up the house. Can't wait for my copy to arrive! Or for CDJapan to switch my order status to in shipping process.

Off-topic: Did you go to school for graphics or anything? I want to but sometimes I see how great others' abilities are in graphics and it brings me back down to Earth and see how much my efforts pale in comparison to the really complicated stuff.

Question.... are people seeing an imaginary I in BRILLANTE's title for some reason?

I think people are just used to saying "brilliant".

Musically, I really think BRILLANTE stands out, but really doesn't fit in with the rest of the album at all. It throws off the general RnB feel of the rest of the album, but then again progress doesn't fit in either.

truehappiness 27th August 2011 09:14 PM

That's pretty common with Ayu's albums. There are songs that obviously stick out like a sore thumb due to a change in the direction she's going for the album compared to whatever she was doing for the singles (GREEN, The Bs in Secret...) so perhaps you could think of progress and BRILLANTE as the slightly out of place singles of this release?

What I love about Ayu's releases is that despite how different a lot of the tracks end up being, they ultimately work together quite well. Though I am usually called pretty crazy for thinking that albums like (miss)understood and Rock'n'Roll Circus are cohesive, lol.
