wow she got #1 on chaku uta full and video weekly!!

Chaku uta full = 1st week = #1
Chaku uta = 2nd week = #2
Movie = 2nd week = #2
Videoclip = 1st week = #1
RBT = 2nd week = #1

so proud of her! really can't believe she beat EXILE on the digital charts. I hope she has stronger physical sales than 4 TIMES

Minttulatte 21st September 2011 10:12 AM

So happy for Kuu's success on digital charts. She's still so popular~ :heart

Corvina 21st September 2011 10:21 AM

Concerning her boyfriend, Ayu-Love is right, she mentioned at that Dejavu Release event back in March that she is dating someone and she makes sometimes little comments like in KO-SO-KO-SO PV making of, that makes me think she has a boyfriend.
Nothing absolutely sure though, she keeps it private pretty well. :laugh
I worded it badly maybe, sorry, should have said: maybe it's her current boyfriend, as we assume she has one.

Ai wo tomenaide is doing great on recochoku, weekly #1 again (thanks re'nai) and #1 on Chaku Uta full, Videoclips, movie clips and RBT and on #2 on Chaku Uta today!

Kuu debuts at #5 with Ai wo tomenaide on Oricon.
#3 sold about 17k, so a pretty low first day.

^ woah.. what happened there?? that's sad :\ atleast we know the song is popular.. lol which does make it more of a mystery to me as to why sales are like this

Bigtop 21st September 2011 01:24 PM

Quite some stiff competition there. And even a Johnny's artist (Hey! Say! JUMP) is in the way, along with Acid Black Cherry (a rock band), and even Kiyoshi Hikawa...

Well, she's done worse on daily charts before she got famous. At least digitally Ai wo Tomenaide is doing great~ <3

But I wonder if a miracle will happen and tomorrow her sales will be better... I can dream, can I? 8D

Beauty4123 21st September 2011 05:08 PM

despite some competition, kuu is still doing good! :yes i just hope the first week sales will be decent. "Ai wo tomenaide" is such a beautiful ballad. :heart

ren'ai 22nd September 2011 01:40 AM

New week, with the addition of new songs, she only went down to #2 on Chaku uta full, chaku uta and #3 on movies,

Remained #1 on videoclips and RBT

Gustavopc 22nd September 2011 09:43 AM

wow, she's getting awesome numbers digitally! So proud of Kuu <3 The Oricon numbers aren't that good, I hope she gets at least #4 weekly

It was pretty bad the sales, but I don't care. The single isn't that special for me, so it deserves.

BTW AwT has a new tie-in: music.jp. http://p.music.jp/top/top.do

NintendoHTF1242 22nd September 2011 10:35 PM

^ So just because it's not special to you, it deserves the bad sales? I don't get your logic.

jbrat2219 22nd September 2011 10:45 PM

Are those sales for the Ai Tomato single? I thought it was just digital? Well I'm not surprised by the sales to be honest. I haven't even gotten a chance to get 4 TIMES yet and they expect people to buy this a few weeks later? I love Kuu but sometimes the way Avex decides to release her material is annoying. They've gotten into the habit of releasing singles a month before an album and now releasing singles weeks apart? I guess I shouldn't complain since I haven't paid for them.

kaled kalil 22nd September 2011 10:54 PM

Noooo, I'm saying the single don't have anything special for the physical CD, like poster or something interesting. Even the back photos are the same and the booklet don't have nothing besides the lyric. People just want to buy the digital and that's it.
Those things make the CD interesting to me, and don't have nothing at all.

ren'ai 22nd September 2011 10:58 PM

^ omg I still haven't received my CD, I didn't know there are no more pictures! :\ That's sooo lazy..

It's not just her management, didn't Ayu release her 49th and 48th single a week apart and she still got good sales.. and I don't remember much moaning about the time between the releases for that.

And hasn't it like, been explained a few times that they had to release this single when they did because the Second Virgin movie which Ai wo tomenaide is the theme song for, is released tomorrow.

do it again 22nd September 2011 10:58 PM

there was really no incentive to buy the physical CD this time around.

Benikari47 22nd September 2011 11:56 PM

Sad about AwT's sales, the song is great and the video is one of her best tbh.

Yeah because Ayu doesn't have a habit of doing it as often. And there actually was a lot of complaints of how that was released. Like I said, it could have just been digitally released.
