I love the nostalgia trip, but I think the problem at least imo is that while it sounds like a 90s dance tune, it really doesn't stack up against the best songs from that era.

I think it would help a lot if her vocals fit better with the music - for me, it sounded like she was singing to a different style of music and then TK suddenly changed the music to 90s dance pop and Ayu never re-recorded her vocals to fit that style.

I think it's really interesting that people are comparing this to 'old Ayu' because I don't think this sounds like old Ayu at all. This sounds like OTHER jpop artists from the late 90's.

Anyway, ten listens later, it's still not growing on me.
Saying that though, it's definitely not a bad song.
It's a hit and miss for me, because I really like certain parts of it, and detest others (*cough* chorus *cough*).

It'd be interesting if this was the 'TK' version that he made as a demo before her arrangers spruced it up.

IIRC, his collaboration with Ayu on Love songs was more of a fusion of their styles while this is very much 100% TK.

Ok, I don't know what to think about it.
It's upbeat, yay, there's a trance part, even better and her vocals sound nice!
But I don't know, the melody sounds pretty generic and so repetetive to me. Kind of...cheap.
It's ok, but nothing I'll listen often to.
And the english parts sound weird again. At least for me. :laugh

For me the extremely catchy chorus totally makes up for the extremely ugly/nasal verses.
