^you need to try attend her concert and you will feel it's not Ayu concert if you don't hear evolution and SURREAL, those two songs are totally a very good song for concert, with air punching and waving

I honestly could've done without them at AT12, there was plenty of hand movement and air punching going on in Sparkle and Boys & Girls, and there are plenty of songs in her repertoire that would work really well as encore songs if they were given a shot. I'm a big fan of the more risk-taking shows like PCDL, the totally out-of-nowhere left-of-field performances. I'd rather see her perform a song she hasn't sang for years than see her do bloody SURREAL again.

The japanese fans DO want her to perform songs like evolution, SURREAL, and cheesy-ballad songs with a lot of dramatic aspect. That seems boring to us, foreign fans, but it's basically not the same culture. Japanese like different things, and she has to please them in priority, since they are the core of her fanbase. If she wanted to please every fan of her, she would make a World Tour with a totally different tracklist's style. |
^ I totally agree. An ayu world tour though, even the notion! I would wet myself.
|
I think in every performance it had something recycled from a past performance. A nice way to revisit stuff for the anniversary unlike AT06-07 which was just lazy.
|
MAN... im not flying 3000+ miles to go to a concert and NOT see evolution, SURREAL and Humming 7/4!!
they better be there.... there is a reason why these songs are staples! |
I'll upload photos of the flowers later, but can confirm that there were none from Music Station and that Japanese fans do think she was banned.
|
evolution and SURREAL are a must, Humming can gtfo
|
Unfortunate. I'd hope that at some point she's able to go back, at least for this year since it's the 15th anniversary and she's already been off the program for over a year.

Watching it now, I am so glad Who... was not broken up by the countdown or dancer intro. Can't wait to get the DVD audio rip!
|
this cdl was awesome lol
she started up slow but once she got going her voice sounded great. |
I was very impressed by all the extensive dancing she did this cdl. Who choreographs all the dances? I remember watching some of her concert documentaries and seeing Etsu and Chiharu in the dance studio with all her dancers. But then didn't Zin also get really involved with the choreography? Hmm...
|
Most of her dancers have choreographed for Ayu. Chiharu and Etsu still seem to supervise but ZIN, Subaru, Maro, and Kayano have all done choreography for Ayu at some point.
Before the dancers choreographed, it was a lot of PECO choreography. |
I want the chop sticks >.<

There's actually people who have all the chopsticks from the first time they had them! I want to collect them too, aghhh!

^So PCDL is the first time to have the chopsticks??
Haha I only have two pairs... CDL 2009-10 and CDL 2010-11, but I totally adore them!! |
Oh, perhaps they couldn't find the ones from CDL07-08. I forgot about them, but they're black with gold "A" emblems. Or maybe they were not able to go to Japan at the time? Haha~
http://hamadakihiromi.seesaa.net/article/75716002.html Quite classy. The design changed quite a bit after that year's. Maybe they weren't intended to go on for more than one CDL? They also had a white/pink variation that was made for some sort of celebration in 2008 at SACAS. I think that was the Ayu exhibition that had her nails on display. Spoiler:
I vaguely remember PCDL may have been the year that they were like "Wow, this was such a big hit that we're doing it again!" and since then they've had new chopsticks every year. |
Finally watch some CDL video and I am reminded on why I became a fan and how I must go see Ayu live!
