Why, Kana, why, the tour pamphlets look SO PERFECT, the outfits are GREAT, and you give us THESE COVERS?! Why do you do this to me?
Those things are ugly, to say the least. Kana looks like she's been taken hostage during a bank robbery and she still has a gun against her temple.

I haven't even bought the latest single yet, just not in a Kana mood lately. :(

Honestly, I've given up a little hope in Kana. I've always found her a bit vanilla (yes, my favorite word to describe her), but I always kinda chalked it up to her being new. The blank faces, cheesy pop ballads, dead face, total lack of personality on many lives. But, she's been around for some time now and it feels like nothing has changed. I just... I don't know... want her to be... bad? A little naughty? A small risk. Just a pop of personality. Unless her true self is really just vanilla. In which case, I never want to meet her.

^ Lol, I could never see Kana being "naughty" - it doesn't suit her. Needless to say, it completely goes against the persona they've created for her. I like her for her. Her stuff is hit or miss a lot of the time, but she pulls off poppy-fun really well. I never want her to lose that.

I agree, Kana is just... not a bad girl, lol. Vanilla is actually a perfet word to describe her.
I feel she's genuine, and that's why I find her convincing and forgive her even when she put out a song I find weak. She can be fierce, feminine, sweet, mature, innocent, charming, but definetely NOT naughty. Her way of being "cool" is releasing some banger as a single B-B-B-B-B-B-Side once in forever, lolz.
But I think she can "try harder" in other ways.

I'm just here for those random ass power ballads she releases that slay me.

I read the interviews in LOVE STORY (the book) and she really is just a sweet, dorky girl who loves friends and love. Being 'bad' would be too much of a stretch for her, I think. Which is fine, but I agree she could try to get a little more stage presence. That said, I've only seen her TV performances. Maybe her concerts are better.

Anyway, I'm happy as long as she keeps giving me nice b-sides.

I like her to be a vanilla girl rather than a bad girl. Most of the singers I listen to are more bad girls so Kana is a nice add to the mix. :)

Yeah, she has a special place in my heart (and music library) because she's just unique like that. She's very consistent. Maybe, sometimes, too much consistent, lol.
But, wherever a lot of singers try right away with the "badass cool club dancing diva", she's among those that stick to her idol image, and so she stands out too.
That's what Japan loves, anyway. (Apart from Namie... I don't know, Japan is a confusing country)

I hope it sells good as Kanayan Tour 2012
