The performance was really nice. I'm not fond of her being this overly dramatic but well, that's her. The blooming cherry trees on the other side were gorgeous, I hope she will have those at her upcoming tour. I also don't mind her re-using this dress, it was my favorite from Cirque de Minuit. Her vocals were ok, she could have sung it a lot more worse. I'm quite happy with the performance and certainly not embarrassed of it. |

Only for certain songs. Basically anything like ASFXX. I think Last minute and Memorial address also tend to involve the flails.

Vocals pretty bad? Have you ever listened to A Song for XX during concert tour 2000?

For me, I think the thing that killed this performance the most for me was the fact that she was dramatically flailing and trying to be all epic, but not because she was really into the performance. I think she knows that one of the reasons fans love her live is her ability to connect emotionally to the song. But, here it seems totally put on. To the point of being almost laughable. And then with the "epic" stance while looking off into the distance. Ayu has always been my favorite performers, even on TV. But, I wasn't feeling this. |
I think this style of dancing would have been better for a different song. But overall I enjoyed the performance. I love that she's just her, no matter how weird/bad others may see it. :3

I wouldn't call what she was doing "dancing"...like not even a little bit, lol.

She could definitely do better, but her vocals are usually never stellar on M-Ste for some odd reason.
Her better shows are usually the more focused ones like say, Music Fair 21, SONGS, or IF SHE WAS EVER TO GO ON IT, Bokura no Ongaku. |

Fortunately there used to be some very decent lives even on Music Station. Like Memorial Address in 2007, Love song + M, M + Last minute for example. |

As long as she doesn't go fake crying like her recent "A Song Is Born" performance in Music Station then I am cool with it
