Tl;dr I agree for the most part but I only liked about half the songs on WINGS although I think I’m in the minority. also Fake Love fell to #71 on hot 100 in its 4th week. But it’s still charting as high as Mic Drop Remix did in its 2nd week, so here’s hoping it lasts as long as MDR did. (But with Beyonce and Kanye releasing new music, it’s probably not wise to get our hopes up :laugh)

I'm judging you, WINGS was a masterpiece

They're not mainstream yet, so it's still super impressive for their level haha They'll probably keep dropping though, there's only this much we can do with just our fandom power

With the streaming parties and love going on between ARMY and the Beyhive right now, I’m hoping it helps keep their position on the chart, or at least helps its lifespan out.

I absolutely adore the concept photos so far. Both are so visually stunning and unique - bangtan in their lovely little glass domes, filled with flowers (except for you, Jungkook?), gorgeous and sequestered off from the world; the other having the media, public, and fans watching them, grasping at them, in an uncomfortable red prison. And the photo where they're quite literally in a closet, ribbons attached, as if dolls. So disturbing and dark, and definitely NOT what I was expecting thematically to wrap up the Love Yourself series. :laugh

I also really have a thing for flamboyant and vintage styles on them.

I think it will be bittersweet (kinda like I predicted last year)... The pain of learning from your past mistakes but hopefulness for a brighter future. Learning to be comfortable with yourself, accept your faults and weaknesses as well as your strengths. And to tie in the previous albums, finding the courage to express your true self instead of hiding behind a facade for the sake of someone else.

Maybe something like that.

I love the tracklist! So happy to see Euphoria ;-; And I woder if DNA remix is that rock version they performed at one of the awards shows. Curious about what Trivias are as well.

But what I like the most is that, just like I wanted, the tracklist is telling a story. The tracks are divided in order: Wonder, Her, Tear and Answer, based on 起承轉結 (introduction, development, turning point, conlusion), which represents a storytelling structure.

Wonder: you fall in love, you think it's fate, an "ideal" love
Her: you're in love, which is too idealistic, too good to be true, but in reality it's uhealthy, codependent and overly attached
Tear: it turns out that the love was fake (no pun intended, or was it? hehe), because you were wearing a mask, changing yourself in order to make the other person love you, but it wasn't sustainable
Answer: you have an epiphany (oops) and realise that you have to focus on loving yourself first and foremost

Also it's quite interesting that all songs on CD1 fit the storyline, they didn't include the songs with the lyrics that don't fit the theme, they're all on CD2
