Is that Namie coming out of retirement? :O

I love the setup for the stage and her voice sounds great comparing to the CDL. Although I'm ecstatic for And Then, I still prefer the perfomance from PCDL, but I'm not saying this one is bad. Ohia no Ki's perfomance was touching, I almost cried.

AND

MONOCHROME

OH MY GOD

PLEASE KEEP THE ORIGINAL ARRANGEMENT

She sounded amazing in the first 3 songs!! Ohia no Ki as well. It's kinda weird hearing WHATEVER in such a low key hahaha, even lower than Premium Showcase! But it's all good, it's doing wonders for her vocals.

Also, the stage feels like an upscaled NHK SONGS show :laugh The camera angles are so much better than some of her DVDs that she released tbh.

Goddamn it Ohia no ki made me tear up

Actually, she kind of looks swollen, that's usually the reason of too much filler.... I cannot decide if i think she looks great or over the top lol

I think this whole live thing is a great idea, it somewhat feels eerie without all the audience in the background, but i, for some reason, love that.

Ohia no Ki was soooo beautiful omg. Amazing <3
If I just had one thing to say, i feel like she's more focused on hitting the right notes etc and takes a little away emotionally haha.

I LOVED the setlist. Mad World as opener song was very powerful, and I am living for WHATEVER and And Then performances. Ohia no Ki was perfect, her vocals are so soft and precise.

Can't wait to see the whole thing!

loving the setlist! the three first songs were amazing. the little vogueing at the end of And Then ♥ love her so much. Ohia no Ki was beautiful too. thanks for all the info!

What an amazing setlist! I kind of was expecting something more personal, like no dancers or flashy outfits for this live. I'm one of the few that likes ayu shows less flashy. I prefer her with no dancers or stage setup so that she can fully focus on her singing so I was kind of disappointed about that but she still did pretty great and looked like she was having fun. I definitely prefer the ohia no ki live to the original song!

Didn't quite like the song at first but the live version is so good. I cried!!

Wow, she sounds amazing! She radiates pure love as she sings it! Very beautiful.

thank you for this! she sounds SO so good! I'm always amazed at how precisely she can hit a particular note, despite all her limitations. her voice is clearly at a healthy state in this performance. I hope she can maintain this!

yeah weight aside - shes defo had her face done ready for the show, bit too much imo haha

xLuna&1LOVE 25th July 2020 10:49 PM

Weight/thickness? I think it is the coat. It is incredible how she is so quick back in great shape!

Facefillers? Don't bother me. She looked great. Whole show looks great. She did so good!

KPL 26th July 2020 12:45 AM

I think the new eye makeup, which makes the eyes appear longer, might also have the effect of making the face appear fuller?

Evolution7/4 26th July 2020 12:53 AM

Ohia no Ki has been stuck in my head all day! I am so glad. I really did not find it memorable at all when it came out the other week.

It's probably a combination of the new makeup, tightly pulled back hair, and facial fillers. I wonder exactly what look she is going for with that though because she looks so good normally without the puffy face.

Evolution7/4 26th July 2020 01:28 AM

Let us not forget Real Housewife of California Ayu :laugh

She looks much sharper in CDL. I can definitely see a difference in this one~ She still looks great, regardless.

MKAyu 26th July 2020 02:13 AM

The first three songs are up on YouTube! I'm so happy, I don't have Abema, and this was so, so good!

I loved how they used the background screen in general, the visuals on it were fantastic additions without getting in Ayu's way! I loved everything about it, the hairstyle and the first outfit being so dreamlike to match Mad World, then to the military-style costume for faster songs with all that bad-ass attitude!

Aagh, she's SO COOL!

truehappiness 26th July 2020 02:13 AM

When they first announced this live I wasn't really sure what to expect but it looked so good for a one off no-audience concert!

Katsuyuki012 26th July 2020 02:31 AM

It's a nice idea and I'm glad Ayu did this live. Seems like it was very well-received! I wish the stage's background had looked different or at least that the pillars had better/stronger lights but that's just a small thing. After all, it's not just a standard hall show.
