Tanpopo had 3 generations before they went on hiatus
Pucchi Moni had 3 generations of members too

I hate 3rd gen Tanpopo so much:tired I love konkon and Risa but like the song they released was not Tanpopo it went against the groups entire meaning lol. I didn't like Ai Takahashi in Mini Moni either...3rd gen pucchi was okay though. I dunno it just seems tsunku is relying on H!P's success in the past too much. Also remaking v-u-den is just random :confused I'll wait until the lineups are revealed before i make any more judgments, I hope Mano is in one of the new groups.

I'm actually really excited about the new units. It really might help refreshing the air for H!P! :)
I just hope the people they choose are gonna be good and well fitting!
I'm especially looking forward Linlin's solo!~ It's gonna be greeaatt! She's such an amazing singer who doesn't really get all the attention she deserves to get!

The new units names all have a slight twist to them:

新ミニモニ。 [Shin Mini Moni or New Mini Moni]
プッチモニV [Pucchi Moni V]
ZYX-α
続・美勇伝 [Zoku Vi-yu-den or Continued Vi-yu-den]
タンポポ＃ [Tanpopo #]

I think that the reason that so many of us are upset using the old names is because, while many of these groups had multiple generations, they have been on hiatus and/or pretty much considered disbanded. Vi-yu-den, for example is simply reusing the name, as it was always just Rika, Erika, and Yui. Taking three girls and calling them the new Vi-yu-den (or shall I say Continued Vi-yu-den) is kinda random. The three original subgroups from Morning Musume though all had themes, so assuming that they continue those themes, I'm fine with them. And ZYX-α is probably the same as the original, sans Mari and Megumi.

And about LinLin - I had a feeling that she could really, really sing, but that she always kinda cutesied up her voice for Morning Musume.

EDIT: Info on JPM says that Erina is in Pucchi Moni.

I hope Sayu is in the new v-u-den. She seems to be Rika's successor in some ways too, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm happy to see Mano Erina in Pucchi Moni :) I like her as a soloist but I preffer her in a group..

I think viyuuden revival is the strangest one as it was basically a group made for rika to go "solo" not a normal subgroup.

Exactly how I feel. Taking three new girls and making them Vi-yu-den is kinda random. They could just be a brand new group, with a unique name. Although I agree that Sayumi's the best choice of the new version of Vi-yu-den, because she's a lot like Rika.

I just figured out that there is a cover of Pucchi Moni's Chokotto LOVE in Dance Dance Revolution!! :D the cover is called PETIT LOVE and is sung in english by Smile.DK

And plus, I don't think anyone in H!P has the cleavage to fill Yui's spot XD.
