I'm kinda bored on both! I was really impressed by gaga's Poker Face it was just perfect! (in my taste) espeicially visually, but now I've listened to it that much that it's not interessing anymore. She needs to release a new album! Or a new music video...

From ayu's latest works I've really liked Sparkle and Rule. She needs to release new material too. so I'd prefer her more.

tbh, I really admire Lady Gaga. I mean The Fame has been a good album so far, with just a few songs that I can't stand.

And I find Brown Eyes REALLY good so yeah. And Poker Face is needless to say, a gem.

There are a lot of things about her that I might not like or agree with, but I can't disagree that she's not musically inclined or whatever.

That being said, Ayu touches me a lot more because I can relate to her songs so much more!

I went through that phase too! But I got over it rather quickly with Kuu. I think the problem with me and Gaga is, I was introduced to her shortly after reading a lot of news about pregnant teenagers and hyper sexed children and I'm thinking, "Where the hell do they learn this behavior from?" *sees Gaga spread her naked legs in a music video* "THAT ***** RIGHT THERE!!!" xD; I was viewing her through the eyes of a 'parent' (even though I'm not a parent and do not wish to be one) and not through the eyes of an 'adult.' Now I actually don't find Gaga herself or her music half bad. I still don't totally like her as a person, but I respect her dedication and ability to create a catchy tune. I won't call myself a fan yet since I only like her three singles. But whatever, she's alright with me I guess xD;

Going with Ayu because Gaga's overly sexual lyrics turn me away from her music. I admit I'm a bit of a hypocrite because I just bought Utada's new US album but Gaga's main theme seems to be that she has an overactive sex drive and I just don't find that to be very appealing :shrug

Just to avoid any hate comments I may get, I don't have a problem with sexual lyrics our people with sexy images, I just don't like the ones that center their careers around being extremely sexual.

Although I will slightly agree with you...slightly... I only like sparkle, rule, love/hate, green, and curtain call from NL (not including interludes) while I basically like every song off of the fame.

because! didn't you know...ayu apparently like owns in music see. and here...there's like no artists better than ayu...so when one comes along who has a ton of fans and stuff...and the majority of the ayu fans dislike that person's music/image, they're a threat. Automatically. Because people have to defend Ayu to the end, because they see her as underrated in the world...and it kinda baffles them that someone they think has no talent...would be more popular than her.
