Spoiler:
Yeah...but atleast she picked the good songs....the only good songs off of Exodus...I wished for Deep River and Final Distance. I hope there's still a chance for those @ the LA event. Overall, satisfied.

I'm not putting this in spoilers cause its not really related to the concert. In some of the fan pictures I can actually see like a bunch of people blatantly holding up their cameras...so this no camera policy is really....ehh....I dunno.

EDIT: A few missing songs are now added.

norain 16th January 2010 09:38 AM

O_O SO SHE DOES SING IT! i am so happy now. =) Anyway, you mean they don't really care about cameras? how did you get in? did they check you at all?

Polyrhythm 16th January 2010 09:41 AM

^I did not go to the Hawaii concert. I do not know. You should also put your comments about the tracklist in spoilers

Yeah, this tracklist is correct. Passion was the opening version used in Kingdom Hearts though. She actually sang the backwards stuff in the middle. Kinda neat. Boku wa Kuma was only a short bit. The rock song cover was sung as well. Devil Inside was actually rock rather than the techno version. Sakura Drops and Stay Gold she played the piano.

She talked to us in Japanese and English. While Utada sang fine, though she missed notes in places, and struggled in others, this concert was a complete absolute F! I am so pissed like you would not believe. Okay, so me and my friends went down there to pick up our tickets. We were there pretty early, around 4:30?

The doors didn't open to let people inside until 7, so we waited for three hours (which is fine) and were pretty near the front entrance, guaranteeing us a good spot near the stage. But then when 7 came around and they started letting people in, the bouncers opened a SIDE door right next to us and cut the line we were standing in! All the people BEHIND us got to go in FIRST! W-T-F! And the reason they gave us was because the person in the front was taking too long.

OMFG! We could NOT get in, they just wouldn't let us. All of our waiting for THREE hours went to waste! And THEN when we were watching people just zip past us in front of us in disbelief the bouncers told us that we should turn around and face the front in a very rude manner. Like OMFG, are you SHITTING me?! Not to mention people who knew the bouncers got to bring in their WHOLE group. WTF.

Then when we got inside everyone was all packed and were standing well and dandy but then we couldn't SEE anything because the people were too tall and my friend was too short to see the side video. So we had to go ALL the way to the back and watch it upstairs. And the worst part was that they started the concert an HOUR later then the stated 8:00 show time. Omfg, we were so god damn mother ****ing pissed.

WTF! This concert place has left me absolutely pissed beyond belief and I give it a grade of F all the way without any remorse. We were treated like crap, and it was completely UNFAIR that they just OPENED the side door like that and let other people who got in later BEHIND us in first. Just whatever. Complete waste of my time and money.

emi♡ 16th January 2010 10:59 AM

^woah it sucks that the establishment in hawaii is crap. I'm sorry :( I hope everyone elses people handles it better.

Was the concert okay?

and spoilers pls :)

Huaka 16th January 2010 11:03 AM

No. I know it's not her fault. The concert is just an F. It's not a reflection of her just that a concert takes EVERYTHING into account and I'm sorry no matter how great Utada sang, it wouldn't be able to make up for ANYTHING they did. The concert was fine actually. The most people got worked up for was her Japanese songs and her most played English songs (FYI, Come Back to Me).

There was a LOT of Japanese people who came from Japan. She was really surprised. Some of the music was too loud, so I couldn't hear her that well.

emi♡ 16th January 2010 11:10 AM

sorry, edit^^ lol

Yeah, I'm really sorry about that. That's REALLY crappy of them. I'd probably be really pissed as well.

NintendoHTF1242 16th January 2010 12:55 PM

That tracklist is amazing! Now I really wish Utada had a concert near MN ): I thought she was just gonna sing her English songs, didn't know she was gonna sing some JPN songs to. Damn you Utada!

hpg23 16th January 2010 01:30 PM

Thank you all for keeping the info on spoilers, this is so important for people who are attending other shows. I know it's kind of a bug for you, but maybe we could have all the tour related chat in a thread without spoilers there, just with a warning sign on the title?

Thank you very much you all :)

KremlinChaos 16th January 2010 01:57 PM

The setlist is amazing! I wish I could go :(.

amorphose 16th January 2010 02:13 PM

I couldn't contain myself... I just HAD to look at the setlist and...

Spoiler:
OMFG. It looks to be absolutely amazing. I'm so glad cause I really wanted FYI, This One, Come Back To Me and Me Muero! Devil Inside - Kremlin Dusk - You Make Me Want To Be A Man... YES! YES! YES! I will definitely cry at some point-- probably multiple points. Definitely during On and On, Simple and Clean and Me Muero.

I can't believe I really get to hear S&C live. *_*

My friends going with me are going to freak out too. The one girl's favorite song is Poppin' so she is going to be ecstatic that it's on the tracklist. The other to girls... One of their favorites was Passion and the other Automatic. Both thought they wouldn't get to hear those songs... because they thought no Japanese stuff would be played-- so they're just gonna be so happy! :D

I CAN'T WAIT! 3 weeks... it's feeling like a prison sentence right now. Must force myself not to watch videos if/when we get any. x.x

FuNsTyLe 16th January 2010 05:20 PM

dreamland2.0 16th January 2010 06:00 PM

hmmm very nice setlist
too bad they forgot that Canada is up here and completely skipped over us :( We speak English here to you know... :grumpy

I hope there will be some sort of footage, though it's highly unlikely that anyone else will ever get to see it...

I feel really bad for your experience Huaka. I'm sure you thought it would be an awesome time, but then rude people ruined it. :(

Mirai Noah 16th January 2010 06:09 PM

I went ahead and looked at the set list too. I'm a bad girl, LOL. But it looks good and I can't wait to see her next week!

At this point i was on the bus with a bunch of friends (who don't know who Utada is) And i literally just burst into tears (they all thought i was crazy). So mum complained, and they offered us 3 free tickets to see go see anyone else.
But as i didn't like anyone else, they've given us three free complimentary tickets to go see her :D:D:D . So currently, i am the happiest person alive :D

Until the 12th of janurary they sent an email to my friend saying that they have managed to secure 4 tickets to see Utada for us and that we would be getting them for free, Words couldnt describe the happiness i felt, but i tried to stay calm as i didnt want to be dissappointed again. After looking at some photos from the concert in Hawaii. My friend emails me saying she got the tickets this morning !!!!. I had the biggest grin on my face .

It's a shame about the no photo rule, but at least we get to go to the concert

Aw, I'm sorry Huaka, that really sucks :(. Hopefully the other tour dates wont be so disasterous. I'm glad you liked the concert though :).
