Hey!Say! JUMP holds first 2011 live at Yokohama Arena

Boy band Hey!Say! JUMP held their first solo concert for 2011 at Yokohama Arena on January 2nd. Performing for the third year in a row at that venue, the concert was a part of their live tour, “Hey!Say! JUMP ‘Arigatou’~Sekai no Doko ni Itemo~ WINTER CONCERT 2010~2011“, which spanned 3 cities and had 16 stages.

Impressively, the concert at Yokohama Arena – two stages, one day – pulled in a total audience figure of 30,000. Fans were delighted as Hey!Say! JUMP delivered 20 songs, including their latest track, “Arigatou~Sekai no Doko ni Itemo~.”

During the concert, Yabu Kota remarked, “Since this is the year of rabbit in Chinese astrology, I want to jump more like a rabbit! I also want to have our own show this year.” Building on that, fellow member Nakajima Yuto expressed his ambition and hoped for a world tour.

It could be that both Yuto and Kota will see their dreams come true, as Johnny Kitagawa, the president of JE, quipped, “It’s almost time for them to challenge Asia.” Could we expect a grand announcement of a world tour soon??

i hope H!S!J releases more this year (because i loved Arigatou!). i just hope they don't get to be like NEWS and release at a snail pace in comparison to the other groups.

^ i hope the same! i want them and NEWS to go back to like...3 singles a year. like back in 2008. :( HSJ especially because they went one whole year (2009) without music. at least NEWS had one single. :P it still sucks though, lol. i wonder what johnny is thinking.

If HSJ does have an Asia tour, I'd love to go see it.

Tomorrow, on January 7th, Hey!Say! JUMP members Chinen Yuri and Yamada Ryosuke will be on the next “Telephone Shocking” segment on “Waratte IITOMO!”

Other guests on the show will be a gymnastics team, and even though Chinen’s father is an ex-Olympic gymnast, the appearance of the team is just coincidental.

Yamada Ryosuke & Chinen Yuri made their appearance on the corner of “Telephone Shocking“, and had a talk with the main host, Tamori.

The boys talked about how they ended up entering Johnny’s Entertainment, the way they spend their days off, etc. They introduced Kanjani8’s Yokoyama Yu as the next guest (for next Monday) on “Telephone Shocking”, as the guest of the day has to name the next guest on the “Telephone Shocking”.

Tamori (T) : “Why did you guys entered Johnny’s?”
Yamada (Y) : “My parent applied for it, and now I’m here without notice.”
Chinen (C) : “I decided to enter JE by myself, because I admire Arashi’s Ohno-kun, and it was my dream to be Johnny’s since I was little.”

(T) : “What do you do when you have free time?”
(C) : “I don’t leave house. I try to go out, but I alway end up staying home, because I can’t be bothered to go out.
(Y) : “I, on the other hand, love to go out.”
(C) : (Chinen explained how he feels this way about everything except something he likes, such as HSJ’s activities.) Someday, I might be saying, ‘it’s troublesome to walk’, and ask Yamada to carry me on his back.”

(T) : “Don’t you have any hobbies?” (to Chinen)
(C) : “Not really…maybe nap?”
(T) : “If you were not in Hey!Say! JUMP, then you would be doing nothing?”
(C) : “I really think if I wasn’t in HSJ, I would have been unemployed, staying home all day long.”

(T) : “How about you?” (to Yamada)
(Y) : “I’m currently studying Korean.”
(Y) : “You should find something too.” (to Chinen)
(C) : “Yes. I should.”

Yamada & Chinen mimic a comedian “Tanoshingo” for a viewer’s request.
