Yeah, same here. Some people are really fixated on position, which is their right of course, but really, positions depend way too much on a variety of surrounding factors. I just need to know the sales, which tell the true story of success ^^

How can people say position doesn't matter? Sure sales are important, but they need to be relative to what everyone else is selling.

Well, sure, but when comparing that you need BOTH, as in position and sales. Just position only says "this album outsold this album", not giving you information such as how MUCH more, would it have been no. 1 in a different week, how much stronger is it than other no. 1's.

Er... #1 is #1, regardless of by how much, hahaha. Certainly numbers help justify things, but when your peak in sales is so short it kind of stinks.

Well yeah, no. 1 is no. 1. But I do think there is a huge difference between being no. 1 with 500,000 sales in on of the toughest weeks of the year, and being no. 1 with 20,000 sales in the weakest time of the year : P

Some artists wish they could sell 20,000!

Yes... I don't see how that changes my point though : P

Anyway, go Ayu and all that. I think it'll take at least one or two more studio albums before they don't get certified Platinum anymore : o
