Yum!Fruit_Salad! 8th May 2011 02:50 AM

More excited to have Laser Beam full and unaltered than for the PV.

adantatu2 8th May 2011 04:29 AM

wow, it looks amazing !!!!!!
i can't wait

AyusakiFan 8th May 2011 06:33 PM

The PV looks like it's going to be one of their best! The dance, looks, and concept all look great! This makes me even more upset that the full version of the PV will not be on the single though. Hopefully the full version will be on their album but it's hard to predict what the content of the album DVD will be.

prussian blue 8th May 2011 06:38 PM

it's deleted :thud

What that's so cheap!! Why wouldn't they put the full version on, that's dumb.

Tokuma wastes no time huh? Seriously, they're like CIA secret service people. They'll shut you down faster than you can put up a video. They must have a special department dedicated to removing the music and taking down videos because they work in record time. I wonder why they just took the sound out the first time and then decided to remove it all together instead of just taking it down once and for all? Weird. Anyways, the video is also available at Dailymotion, with the sound: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xilmgk_perfume-laser-beam_music

I agree with you. I honestly don't know what the point is of putting a short version of a PV on the DVD. I can't think of any reasonable explanation as to why they would do that. The only thing I can think of, which is still not an excuse, is that the DVD also contains a making clip of the single's jackets. They normally don't put much more than the lead track's PV on the single's DVD so it's kind of like they gave us something more than they usually do so therefore they decided to not give a full PV in exchange. While I'm happy about the making clip, I still think that they should have included a full version of the PV rather than a short version.

I'm kinda disappointed by the PV preview. I thought there would be a lot more lasers.

Before you jump to conclusions, they explain it here:

The earthquake hit during filming, their studio in yokohama experienced a blackout, and they haven't been able to complete the PV since then. A-chan and nocchi also clarify that they along with their staff want to eventually be able to provide us the full version but this is all they can give us for now.

adantatu2 9th May 2011 04:24 AM

^thanks for the info, now we can understand!
the pv looks very promising, i hope they can do the full pv soon

AyuGAME 9th May 2011 04:33 AM

oh wow...i don't know that they filming this when the earthquake occured...
so the PV will be just 1.30 long?

dreamland2.0 9th May 2011 05:26 AM

Well that makes sense!! Thanks for the info!!

SURPRISE AGAIN! This time it's on a GLOBAL scale!!!

Spoiler:
Perfume to make world debut in Disney Pixar’s “Cars 2″

Today it was revealed that popular techno-pop trio Perfume will make an audible appearance in Disney Pixar’s “Cars 2” as well as on its official soundtrack.

It was decided to use the trio’s hit song “Polyrhythm” as one of the film’s background songs, and it won’t be just limited to its Japanese release. The song will also be included on the official soundtrack CD that will be released worldwide in June, thus making it their world debut in some sort.

In “Cars 2″, star racecar Lightning McQueen and the incomparable tow truck Mater take their friendship to exciting new places when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. “Polyrhythm” will sooth your ears when the friends decide to party in town the night before their race in Japan.

A while ago it was announced on the official Japanese website of the film that they were searching for a nice Japanese song for that scene and apparently many people recommended Perfume’s song to the production team. The producers and directors liked it as well and were delighted to find such a great fitting song.

It is common for Japanese artists to provide songs for the Japanese releases of films, but only a few Japanese artists have been included in international versions of non-Japanese films. A great honor for Perfume and a great opportunity to become known outside of Japan and the realm of J-Pop fans.

By the way, regarding on the Laser Beam PV, I do agree and understand why it's short - and it's all because the earthquake disrupted production. (I'm really wondering what release date would it have had it not been affected by the earthquake - maybe April 27?)

Beauty4123 10th May 2011 12:28 AM

oh cool! but who really buys movie soundtracks? especially from a disney movie? lol. i don't think little kids will appreciate perfume's style of music. :laugh
