Timmy probably is just Peco in disguise.

This a-nation is good. She sounds better, a lot better, but not great. I just don't like her new vocal style for her old songs.

TeamAyu2004 28th August 2012 12:38 AM

^ LOL.. that would be amazing.

adantatu2 28th August 2012 12:47 AM

thanks for the youtube links ^^

jbrat2219 28th August 2012 02:01 AM

I can't with BRILLANTE...

MissElin_ 28th August 2012 02:16 AM

I just looked at some of the YouTube links and man you barely hear Ayus voice.

But I can tell you at the real concert you heard mostly her and not the background singers as much. HANABI on youtube was quite washed out, but for real it was really powerful and Ayus voice was so strong (it did NOT help my head ache) that she turned heads and people keept saying "wooow, amazing" after her longer notes.

What your saying is wrong of course.
Just because someone is gay does not mean everything they do is gay.
That's what it comes down too. You are saying because Timmy is gay and he is working with Ayumi, that means everything she is doing is making this a gay era.
That's rather rude and a little intolerable and kinda insulting to all gay people.

And just because "Drag queens are part of the lgbt subculture even if they are accepted outside it. " doesnt mean anything. Being a drag queen has nothing to do with being gay. So saying that Timmy dressed in drag makes ayu's concert's gay is irreverent.

:clapclap:clapclap:clapclap perfectly said

Zeke. 28th August 2012 05:59 AM

I wouldn't say "Being a drag queen has nothing to do with being gay" but more like "Being a drag queen is not all about being gay"

You can't seriously say it has NOTHING to do with being gay. Give me a break. Lol.

And people get so riled up about stupid comments that were not meant to be rude. Sniffing out criticism where it was not meant. Let's just say this era of Ayu's has more in common with 'gay' than past eras... I am not a fan of stereotypes, but there is a difference between stereotyping (seeing EVERYONE in that group as the SAME/HAVING the SAME QUALITIES) and finding common behaviors/interests/similarities with the majority of people who belong to said group.

For example: Not all drag queens are gay, but the majority are. Therefore, gay people are more likely to be interested in/participate in drag than heterosexual people (specifically speaking, men). There is no denying that.

She does sound better in the HD version. Overall this was a fun a-nation. My only complaints are Timmy and his creepy as hell facial expressions in BRILLANTE and ayu going way over the top with HANABI near the end and sounding gross. Would have been so much better without that. And yeah her voice was off so often, but oh well. I really liked the BRILLANTE/evolution mashup, HANABI ep 2 and theme of a-nation 03. Her outfits and hair were a huge step up from previous years too.

just finished watching just now. and this is what i feel about her vocal :thud agreed that her voice sounds off quite often , but the most annoying part is when most of the time the music/instruments and her backup vocals sound so loud than her! :headache

the arrangement for hanabi and hanabi epsiode 2 are really great it is like a 2012 version of these two.but again for some parts cant really hear what shes singing :o

her outfit,i really like it all,she looks gorgeous, cute and the hair :luv2

and sorry for Timmy, epic fail with that corset and ugly tutu with those boots,WTH he better offs with his another own concert,so out of place :grumpy:grumpy

are we gonna get another TV recording of this after this? from WOWOW TV? hope they will edit the sound system

truehappiness 28th August 2012 09:42 AM

We will get WOWOW after this. Live audio mixing is usually pretty bad (see Ayu's CDLs every year) so it should be better in the WOWOW version.

However, keep in mind that WOWOW usually cuts out like half of her setlist.

I watched the Youtube and then watched the HD and clearly..im not sure if it's because I adjusted to her vocals or that the HD was indeed better. I love the softer and more controlled verses whereas, sometimes when she reaches the more powerful parts, she tends to just shout the note so it could be jarring...But missElin_ said in live, she sounds amazing so I am proud of that.

BRILLANTE as well..the chorus' is so hard. and Timmy's opening gave me goosebumps in a good sense. Ayu looks fantastic here. her hair and that dress...really reminded me of the red Mirrorcle World wan 4 years ago.

theme of a-ntion 03 is BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLL. Her voice is so raw but really strong. She isn't forcing it (partially because of the song's nature). It's just awesome. and She's so cute..and with the hair tied like that too. That costume (kimono/yukata?) sounds so gd.

chu-lips 28th August 2012 11:19 AM

i just think that the opening is lacking wow factor,,,
the previous anation opening was so great...

This was the first time her a-nation opening completely wow-ed me. Because this was the first time it was musically AND visually great and not just "bang, btw, Ayu is on stage now during this exploding moment of sound/real explosions you can see in every rock concert". I don't think she's ever had a bad opening(maybe Startin? she looked awful, sang playback if I recall correctly...) just...not as interesting.

And what others said about mixing is definitely right. Many times, when the audio mixing isn't done well(and it's REALLY hard to do it well in a live enviroment), the vocals of the vocalist and one of the background vocalists clash, creating the feeling that one or both are being off. Ayumi is clashing with Princess a lot this time around, especially in BRILLANTE. That will probably be fixed at WOWOW and for the DVD.

SKYia 28th August 2012 12:40 PM

"The chorus of brilliante is quite difficult though ! Overall it's better than in Power of Music"

"I agree with Tal that HANABI was perhaps even better than 2005 one. "

Did I watch some different version? This years vocal wasn't that bad but still not clear (theme of a-nation was the best vocally) but to say that it was better than POM or AN2005 makes me think my file was corrupted :V Cannot agree :(

TeamAyu2004 28th August 2012 02:33 PM

^ you might of been.
Although there were some bad parts, overall I enjoyed it better.
And unless you went to the live concert for PoM (I dont know if you did or not) you were listen to auto-corrected stuff.

Maemi 28th August 2012 05:20 PM

LOL at Timmy and his awful appearance!
