Personally I haven't liked Dr Pepper at all. However CL's scenes in the MV were good. The rest I didn't care for at all.
However I've read a few articles this morning saying her official solo debut is supposed to start next month. They also mentioned and have posted a photo of her working on another new MV which they're saying is going to be her REAL solo US debut single. Details aren't for absolute sure though. Has this been posted yet? We're getting an EP this fall!

I saw this yesterday. I'm hoping it's at least 8 songs. Still I think a FULL album would've been better as EPs don't sell as well especially if you're still quite a new artist in the west I think. I hope she'll follow up with a full album after it.
Either way, I can't wait to hear what she's got in her arsenal for this debut :D

EP's aren't too uncommon. Katy Perry's first release was an EP (for Ur So Gay). So if CL makes some noise with the EP, we can probably except more from her in the future. I hope she promotes herself right because I know for a fact she can make it. She has the attitude and swag, as well as the sound that's popular right now (I played Dr. Pepper at a party and everyone was getting HELLA turnt to it lol).

Hopefully it follows Menbung sonically rather than The Baddest Female

Dr Pepper was bad meaning bad, you know, and quite embarassing. youtube bloggers have their videos edited better than this.
I understand she's trying to appeal more to the public there, yet it looks so cheap and embarassing, and what a letdown after gorgeous 2ne1 videos. now I understand. why YG disliked the song and video as much as he mentioned. I don't understand, still, how he got it approved. he put much effort into this whole American thing, but eh...

on another note, YG's doing auditions. when he hasn't even debuted IKON. when Lee Hi and AKMU have no music. WTF IS HE DOING icantanymore

As for Dr. Pepper...its is rellay addicting and I don't understand how people even try to comapre it to 2NE1 or Korean music/videos in gerneral. it is not...its is straight up american and that is what she wants and whats she should do if she wnats to have succss.
If the Korean formular would work, they wouldn't need to do specific american music.

morover, yes she said that, but she also said she wnated to change the view that popel have on K (Asian) Music. Plus, she also said she wants to be herself and I can actualy picture her likeing this music. Its just a fetaure anyways and more the other artists music-direction than hers.

I'm not expecting her US debut to sound even remotely like KPOP. However from the photo I saw of the new MV being recorded I am expecting the first solo single to be very different than Dr Pepper. For now, I'm just waiting for an announcement officially from CL & her American company label about the beginning of the promotion and release information. If the EP has a physical release I'll definitely stop by HMV & pick up a copy.

Oh trust me Dr. Pepper is an awful song; but I played it at a party where we were heavily drinking and it turned the whole place up. They loved the beat and CL's attitude. Coulda done without the rappers though. I'm glad CL switched to Diplo instead of will.i.am. He ruined Britney's latest album, don't want him ruining CL too. Here's hoping CL and Diplo make more dirty trap music.

there is a rumour that supposedly one producer working with CL shared on twitter that the debut isn't happening. because people are not interested and nobody wants to invest in her or promote her, because they think she'll be Iggy 2.0.
if so, hold yourself CL and be strong (even though I'm not so much fun of your attitude you showed).

BJs think and I think too, that probably it shall be a digital single or something, that YG is testing grounds what to do with 2ne1. if it flops he probably will leave them and they will not get the contracts renewed.
