A BEST is really kicking Southern All Stars' ass - for such a 15-year-old best album! Also more than Ayaka's 'Rainbow Road'... :O

Koda Kumi sold just 700 copies this week and her total is 46k!!

Ayu is just 6k away from Koda!! OMG :heart it's possible

hayasaki 22nd April 2015 04:28 AM

^i think it is!! The Tour will help it IMO but oh well, i
forgot Oricon doesn't count them all

brener 22nd April 2015 05:16 AM

I hope it sells around 3k this week

Sunrise 22nd April 2015 08:38 AM

holy_arrow 22nd April 2015 12:43 PM

It really annoys me that they only count it as 1/3rd of the sales. That's why the fall from guilty and NL was so high. It also annoys me that cdjapan and stuff doesn't count too, making all of my purchases felt somewhat invalidated. Yeah oh wells.

And that's a fact, oricon is not an objective source for numbers, it only gives general idea what's popular but just that. Unfortunately since it is throwing numbers people take it seriously.

Then they shouldn't be giving out awards out of their asses. Lol

hayasaki 22nd April 2015 10:03 PM

How much do you guys think would have A ONE sold so far (i mean the figures) if Oricon counted all!! as in everything?

Uknow! 22nd April 2015 10:06 PM

^I supposed more than 100k counting international sales too, but in a near future, not now.

attractive nausea 22nd April 2015 10:08 PM

^^ Damn i don't know, the playcount on the forum is only at 50+ or so copies :laugh

Andrenekoi 22nd April 2015 10:43 PM

Oricon doesn't count sales for fun or because they are bored, it's a way to define who is hot and who os marketable, and for being a good source of who is and isn't marketable they can't count sales shipped overseas, as those people aren't part of the Japanese market (in other words, you can't consider oversea sales to hire a popstar for a japanese only tie-in) and the venue sales are reduced because they were frequently faked by the labels.

They don't make money from stan wars, they make money from the companies that need those numbers...

I sadly don't see the excitement.. Ayu and kuu are both getting low sales, one or two more copies aren't gonna make a difference between who's saleing more :no.

hayasaki 22nd April 2015 11:50 PM

I kinda miss those days when we were talking of hundreds of thousands of sales LOL

ayumisrael 23rd April 2015 01:01 AM

I just looked at A Song for xx's trajectory... lol, charted almost 3 years and sold quite a lot in a lot of weeks, and that was only when she started getting popular. Looking at LOVEppears, Duty and A BEST would be just crying out tears. =P

(But in reality these things are not important anymore).

That's a bit too much, Colours didn't even sold more than 1,000 copies in Korea and Taiwan and both are jpop's biggest market after Japan
