That's because you are not used to SEASONS being non high pitched and nasally the way ayu sounded back then.

It doesn't really mean it doesn't sound good.
It doesn't sound 2001 ayu/original SEASONS vocals maybe.

Argh...I really think she should have stopped performing Evolution on TV after she had to apologise for an Evolution performance around the time of Together When..'s release..there's something about the song that is too concert-y and doesn't work well on TV for me IMO. UNITE!, Fly High or Appears would have been better choices and are well known songs.

A lot of people know Ayu because of songs like evolution, I think it still works well on TV. Boys and Girls is probably too concerty to work, which is why she rarely does that on TV even though being one of her most successful singles.

That SEASONS performance will be amazing. Those vocals are phenomenal. :heart

She flubbed lyrics and just gave a pretty bad performance in general. People were wondering if something was wrong since it was so... off.

The vocals on SEASONS really did sound so amazing. Seems like she has SOOOO much more control of her voice really hope it shows in her release of AT2015

Off key and messed up the lyrics.

I love the period around the time of Together When.../Guilty, the looks were right and hair was on fleek but her vocals were horrendous in live performances. The TV version of CDL of 2007-2008 is a 2 hour test of tolerance.

I always watch her singing evolution with a worried heart. In fact, I'm worried with her vocal in all of her live performances on TV these years. But her cry has made me so sad. She needs hugging.

she sounds fine on You Were..sound normal on the first part of Evolution as well...but when she start to messed up with the lyrics, I think she become really nervous..but it's ok performance, she still show charisma and power and cuteness
