Since I am in China right now,how great it would be if she released/allowed her stuff to be streamed on QQMusic. That app has EVERYTHING she ever released but for some reason all of her songs are grayed out except some collaboration songs that she did recently

listening to some of the single versions of releases from 1999/2000 etc for the first time in years...TK/Avex were really rush releasing demos/unmixed songs as singles before polishing them for the album lol. The single version of please smile again is particularly bad.

It was on Checkmate, but that album's missing a lot of tracks on streaming sites. Probably due to the rights shared between Namie and the collaborating artists.

UNUSUAL is not available probably because he's from Johnny's and none of their artists is available in any streaming device.

As of this week, "Finally" has been out for a total of 100 weeks!
To date, it has sold a total of 2,453,384 physical copies. (Around 36k copies sold in 2019)
And since being released digitally back in June, it's been downloaded 31,576 times... making it the #10 digital album of 2019.

So what do you think the chances are of her coming back for a one time only performance of Hero at either the opening or closing ceremonies for the olympics? I can't help but hope for it.

Had she not retired, I would almost say it's a 100 percent done deal that it would have happened. The song has become a classic and would be well-received internationally (it's her most played song on Spotify so far). She is also the perfect kind of "face" to represent Japan to an international audience.

It's unlikely, but I don't count it out. I think pretty much anything can happen when the price is right.

Obviously different circumstances but if the Spice Girls did it so can Namie :laugh
