Seems the media is also speculating with the possibility of Kalen Anzai playing ayu’s role

MKAyu 1st September 2019 06:40 PM

They're also wondering if Kalen Anzai is even real, hahaha.

The way she's being marketed is so unusual--her singles are all released free and her Instagram is just commercials. Also, no facial expressions anywhere, not even in the ads they've put her in.

I'm afraid that in the end this drama will be a better promo for the actress playing ayu than for ayu herself.

Aderianu 1st September 2019 09:35 PM

I'm afraid it will be just a parody on ayu, that she'll be shown as always crying capricious girl

xLuna&1LOVE 1st September 2019 11:59 PM

^ I really hope, that the creators of this drama take it seriously. I would actually be pretty bothered if they choose to go all comedic and make a parody on Ayu.
However I don't really have any interest in reading the Ayu x Max story (some things should remain private in my opinion) I really think it's brave that they finally open up about their relationship, which's taboo and unusual. If the creators don't take the story seriously, I would actually see it like a lack of respect towards their very vulnerable and intimate love story.

Just to add a little bit more of spicy here: I was watching an old Hey!x3 talk segments and in this one someone ask about Ayu's first love and she said she remember his full name (around 5min). And it's something like "Matsui Masafumiko" and the hosts point it's "MM" (referring to his name) and I couldn't stop thinking about Masato Matsuura lol Could that be it? lool

She most likely will have some control over the drama on the same way she had control over the book.

I'd love that as well. To be honest, I haven't noticed much controversy on the Japanese side. In the vast majority of cases when I translate a tweet or an Instagram post they seem pretty positive on the subject. We also didn't get any tv reports about it too. I am having an impression this book is written with respect to Ayu and, if anything, it warms her image in general.

Corvina 6th September 2019 11:22 AM

Apparently it's official now:
https://www.oricon.co.jp/news/2143737/full/

The author of the book announced through social media that the drama is made by TV Asahi, starting April 2020, and is going to air as a late-night drama 11:15 - 00:05 pm on Saturdays.

Toniayu123 6th September 2019 12:39 PM

mizuki-7 6th September 2019 01:55 PM

I am happy for all the success Ayu can get... but also a bit sad to realize the books actually sell more than any of her recent releases. :dead2

^ Same thought...

Sky High 7th September 2019 03:30 PM

^^ Same.

Evan Odinson 13th September 2019 05:25 PM

njanjayrp 13th September 2019 07:22 PM

Also ERIKA <3 Would be nice if she actually covered some Ayu stuff for the show :D

EndOfTheWorld 13th September 2019 11:25 PM

Those comments are 100% trolling.:laugh
