I was hoping for a Vanity Fair shoot for the new album, so this is good news!

I'm a bit worried for this album... because Madonna is just gonna follow a sound you hear TOO MUCH on the radio. I mean, I respect Timbaland before he became extremely popular (like what he did with Utada) but now I digust him and not to mention that ****-head of a Timberlake. It all sounds the same and yet, the young girls will eat it up even if it was **** (no offense to those who actually do like JT.. just for the music and not the looks)
So I definetelly will have a look at this album... but probably won't buy it or play it a few times in a week like I did with a very ORIGINAL album like Ray of Light and CoaDF |
I wouldn't be so quick to judge, she has worked with a ton of big name producers before and produced something amazing and current. Take Babyface for example. She worked with a ton of R&B producers for Bedtime Stories that were all over the radio at the time including Babyface and came up with Take A Bow. That's her longest running #1 hit ever in the United States. The same goes for Shep Pettibone in the late 80's/early 90's. You mentioned Ray of Light and Confessions too and she worked largely with William Orbit and Stuart Price on those. Both of them were very well established and played out before Madonna came in contact with them, especially in Europe.
Madonna is very involved with the production aspect of her music as well. She definitely isn't stupid and won't make something she is incapable of taking on image wise. She is an artist as well as a businesswoman and has been involved with the music business much longer than most of us have been alive for. I think we should just trust her instincts. I know I am. After all, she's doing an album that she wants to do just like she always has been and that got her plenty far. |

I'm not too fond of the dress but it's still on a mannequin so I guess I can't judge yet. I'm sure M will work it out! :yes |
The dress hanging looks a lot better!

Two extremely low quality clips of Give It To Me have leaked. Their authenticity is still in question but it is very likely that these are not fake.
First Clip Second Clip Please do not hotlink. I don't really know what I think. The lyrics seem to match up with the ones reported by Rolling Stone and it sounds like it was recorded on a cell phone from someone's jacket or something. :shrug Quote:

Yesterday was also Frozen's birthday!!! Frozen, the first single from Madonna's 1998 album Ray Of Light was first released in Europe today, 10 years ago on February 23 1998. Co-written by Madonna and Patrick Leonard, the song counted on the production of producer William Orbit, who completely reconstructed Leonard's original arrangement and turned it into the magical version we know (a private letter from Madonna to Leonard explaining why she decided not to use part of his work also leaked onto the internet at the time). The video for Frozen was directed by Chris Cunningham who also re edited some footage from his previous works as video backdrop for the rendition of the song during 2004's Re-Invention tour. The song was also performed live in 2001's Drowned World Tour. :D *turns into a dog and flock of crows* |
