So this article confirms that Namie got her 5th consecutive week at number one. The last female to do that was Akina Nakamori (:heart) which was 25 years ago.

I was amazed that she was able to keep the #1 position over this past week, too!
It's said that the reason it's doing so well is that the album is drawing in not only her usual fans but salarymen and people who don't usually buy CD's regularly (good word of mouth?)

^i've read that those who were affected by amura boom in the 90s were all grown up now, and i think they had became salaryman now. they started to like namie again and thats a really good sign
