OMG Zagreb! I wish it would be held in August, cuz I can't go in June :cry

elvis810 28th February 2012 01:03 PM

the beginning is quite exciting but the chorus didn't develop to be an epic and rich sound.

rookies 28th February 2012 06:33 PM

The new song is really catchy. I didn't like Gimme All Your Luvin' much, but GGW is a really good song. It should have been the first single instead.

ll moments ll 29th February 2012 06:59 AM

i'm not digging her vocals on the track. lol. but GGW is a fun song. :)

whateva, whateva still super excited for MDNA.

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 4th March 2012 03:26 AM

the Erotica bra?? but wit no nipples? :laugh

PoetGirl 8th March 2012 01:19 AM

Im scared for her. No one really cares about this album anymore and its not even out yet.

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 11th March 2012 04:59 AM

^ that's not entirely true. I care. :yes

setsuka 11th March 2012 06:22 AM

I think only her fans care, since this era feels like a tribute to her career or something since everything sounds and feels so out-dated by pop standards and done before

her new pv teaser is so boring, I had high hopes for this album :/ but still excited, I don't think it will be a big seller and will suffer the same fate as Hard Candy

gonna wait for more teasers to see if I will buy, Gang Bang sounds so boring...

Andrenekoi 11th March 2012 05:50 PM

^Hard Candy was one of the 10 best selling albums of that year wordwide... Hardly a fail...

This. It didn't do that well in America but it was gigantic in Europe. And the same seems to happen with MDNA so far.

setsuka 11th March 2012 08:51 PM

yah it sold a lot but who exactly cared for it

she is obviously trying to be relevant again as in having successful singles, why else would she collab with Nicki , but no one is buying since it all sounds out dated

Sales are the only clear indicator we have for people caring. And they indicate that many people in Europe and still a lot in the US cared for it(and the record-breaking tour in support of the album shows that people cared as well, people don't go to a concert if they dislike half the setlist, not even Madonna concerts). It was Madonna's first album fully affected by illegal downloading, that's why it "underperformed" compared to the albums before.

I sure as Hell didn't.

emi♡ 12th March 2012 04:33 AM

I was actually anticipating this album, but no one else is :shrug

And idk, I'm sorry, I know sales are the only hard evidence there is...but I don't think they're a good indication of popularity anymore. Especially since, like, idk I usually only see hard core fans buying CDs of people they like. I know of 3 people...american people anyway, who are anticipating this with me...

I just...idk her pop sound just isn't really "in" but I admire her for doing it, cause...I don't want it to die lol

Andrenekoi 12th March 2012 07:45 AM

She is a 53 years old woman with a 30 years old career... her peak ended more than 20 years ago.

People who turn songs into hits, that massively buys digital tracks and listen to the radio the most, who generates buzz about artists and bands are teenagers... people that weren't even born when she peaked.

It's naive to believe she will be constantly spamming huge hits and being everywhere like Gaga, or Perry or Rihanna are right now... Teenagers are naturally ageist, and Madonna is old enough to be the mother (or grandmother) of the younger audiences. Still, she will most likelly sells the same or more than Beyonce and Britney did on their lastest efforts and most likelly break her own record of biggest solo act tour...

I'm seeing a big antecipation of this album among older music consumers (25, 30+ years old) and pop diva fans in general...

George 13th March 2012 02:16 PM

I will go to her concert not because of the news songs. The name Madonna sells the ticket not that album it's supporting.

It's not about illegal downloads and honestly I feel like less people download music illegally than in 2008.

ll moments ll 14th March 2012 12:09 AM

from what i've been seeing (i'm not fully reading any reviews. :P), Gimme All Your Luvin' & Girl Gone Wild are some of the weakest tracks? hmmm, we'll see.

i'm anticipating MDNA because i like Madonna. i mean, she's past her prime and i don't expect her to be in line with her competition since there's just so many female artists out there. i'm just glad she's just releasing music, lol. :P

SURREAL__RAINBOW 14th March 2012 04:51 AM

I can't wait to go down to the shops and purchase the album :P I need her in my life just as I need ayu in my life nowadays, so happy my two queens are releasing albums this year :love

No_Doubt 14th March 2012 05:25 PM

^Seconded! My two favourite artists as well!

I'm absolutely in love with the preview of Superstar! It sounds like an album track from Madonna/Like a Virgin/True Blue, but with updated production.
