Thriller had been sold in more than 100 milion copies. I don't think anyone will outsell it. :( I'm not a big fan of his work, but he had some amazing songs...

Yooku 26th June 2009 01:45 PM

This is so sad...

Rest in peace.

noidea 26th June 2009 01:52 PM

Im not a fan of him, but this is still really, really sad. He was a big inspiration for many people and died just way too early.

JackieRos 26th June 2009 02:42 PM

in VH1 they are playing his videos now

i also heard that MJ is leaving debt to his children and
that they might not be able to afford it

To be honest, I don't know those persons..

But seriously, I still can't get it, he's a person who can't die!

^ Ed McMahon was a co-host in the 1970s, early 80s on a very popular late night talk show called The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, which was then taken over by Jay Leno and now Conan O'Brien.

Farrah Fawcett was an actress/sex icon in the 70s. She was specifically known from a TV show called Charlie's Angels, and she was REALLY pretty. There was this really popular photo/poster of her that everyone just had to have.

Hope that helps.

Rest in peace, Michael. :(

I still can't believe this. I've been a die-hard fan since I was 2yrs old. Just about everyone in my family has copies of all his albums including myself.

I wish this was all a horrible dream...

This is what TMZ is reporting...

Quote:

A close member of Michael Jackson's family has told us Jackson received a daily injection of a synthetic narcotic similar to morphine -- Demerol -- and yesterday he received a shot at 11:30 AM.

Family members are saying the dosage was "too much" and that's what caused his death.
Quote:

There are reports ... Michael Jackson may have died after getting a Demerol injection.

The Sun is reporting shortly after the injection, Jackson's breathing got "slower and slower until it stopped."
Quote:

As details of Michael Jackson's tragic and untimely death continue to come to light, police have began a search for Jackson's personal physician, who was living with the troubled pop star and gave him daily injections of very very powerful morphine-like pain drugs.

The doctor's car was towed from Jackson's residence on Thursday and it is believed to contain "medications pertinent to the investigation."

The doctor's name has not been released, but the Jackson family attorney claimed that he would identify him should drugs be revealed to have taken part in Jackson's death.
Sources are saying his cardiologist was with him at the time of his death... if his cardiologist gave him the Demerol all fingers will be pointing at him. If his breathing was getting slower why in the world wasn't he rushed to the hospital immediately!? :irked:irked:irked

What I wouldn't give.

I don't know if TV Asahi's Music Station mentioned about this during their show earlier...

Hachimitsu 26th June 2009 07:57 PM

It's very hard to believe that this really happened. Some say he was accidentally OD'd by a doctor who injected him with a painkiller.. I wonder if that's true?

Bonbon0507 26th June 2009 08:17 PM

RIP Michael Jackson :(

They didn't, but as I mentioned earlier, this wasn't a typical music station. I don't think it was live, but prerecorded since it was just a countdown show.

As for the drugs thing - No one should be taking demoral every day unless they have some kind of underlying painful and life threatening health issue. Honestly, if demoral was the cause, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened - its like playing with fire to take drugs so often even if it is prescribed by a doctor.

ImpactBreaker 26th June 2009 09:09 PM

Demerol? i seriuously hope that's not true. I can't believe a conceited physician (after all, MJ's physician, I mean he has the money to pay for the best) would ever use demerol as a pain killer. It's a ridiculous drug that doesn't really kill any pain, just makes the patient euphoric while feeling the pain and is highly addictive. I only use it in hospital in very low doses to stop intense shivering from infections in very selected patients because it does magically work, but for killing intense pain, morphine is a much more "safer" drug. It makes me wonder though, strong pain killing medications are mainly used for the treatment of cancer. Did he actually have a cancer and was needing higher doses of pain killers? I'm pretty sure Michael has always shrouded his health into a big mystery. I think I've read somewhere that when he was first accused of child harassment, he went into a sort of breakdown and got addicted to morphine (or was it demerol exactly?), and needed to go to a rehab to get free from it. I've been just speculating here, but it wouldn't surprise me if he himself got an overdose from it. :shrug It's really sad to think about that. I vwish he weren't dead by now =/

Coelacanth 26th June 2009 09:14 PM

Yeah, he was actually addicted to morphine and demerol during the Dangerous World Tour (after the allegations had came out). He mentions all this in his song "Morphine" - everybody should listen to the song btw, it's great.

still on the news....i guess Iran is kinda irrelevant now...

Lady~Deviance 26th June 2009 09:38 PM

Just about every channel I turn to depicts MJ's death or shows MV clips. It still has not sunk in that he's gone. When they broadcast his funeral next week maybe the shock will finally hit me.

Don't worrry, I'm also like that. It was so sudden. I had just bought a new cell phone and put some of his music on it this week. I was really wondering when a new song or album would pop up. I was sort of saddened that it was kinda being said that his come back would actually just be a goodbye, but then, with the kinds of surprises he's always liked to pull, I still had my hopes he'd come back for good. He has died but he hasn't. I'm surely his music will live on forever. Still it is pretty sad to know he's now gone.:(
