There's also the possibility that she just didn't accept the invitation in the end and that's that...

Ayumiko 4th December 2009 12:05 AM

who cares if she was invited to FNS or not...its aleady over. :( The fact that she didn't attend and there won't be Happy Xmas show anymore SUCKS. :(

truehappiness 4th December 2009 12:18 AM

Happy Xmas Show was replaced by a Panasonic Viera -Platinum Ticket Special- this year:

Sad, but eh. Maybe she'll be on one more TV show to compensate? -sigh-

Ayumi will perform "You were…" on Music Station next Friday. Line-up confirmed by TV asahi: http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/music/contents/m_lineup/cur/

At least she's going to be on Music Station. Really looking forward to this.

Bigtop 4th December 2009 11:07 PM

That's some good news there - looking forward to that. But I'm just wondering...did the 2009 FNS music festival only had an average of 18.5% among Japanese TV viewers? I'm just wondering - I think it dropped from last year's 19.7%, and it's the lowest since 2000 (at 19.3%)...does anybody know about this? And if it is really true, is it really because of Ayu was not there? I think the FNS music festival audience REALLY can be dependent on Ayu - in 2004, 21.8%; in 2006 when she performed JEWEL on its special orchestra version form (one of my favorite live performances on TV for Ayu), it was 21.3%...

Cool! Can't wait to see her on Music Station! Her TV performances of Sunrise and Sunset were great vocally, I hope she can keep that up! :D

I really doubt it's dependant on Ayu. Her performances on Kouhaku have really average ratings so she's not a big ratings draw AT ALL.

Totally agree ! i think people 're overrating Ayu's popularity .

Mai82Go 5th December 2009 08:48 AM

I also don't think it's because of Ayu that the ratings are going down. Arashi were there and a lot of other acts that are more popular than Ayu. Would be nice if she had that effect, but I seriously doubt it.

freedreamer 5th December 2009 09:36 AM

Whoooa! MS NEXT WEEK! awesome
I hope she goes on MS at least twice to promote the single.

I personally doubt it. I think the lower ratings this year were simply because the show was the most boring FNS that I can ever remember. Ayumi's absence isn't even mentioned in the comments of the article.

Great vocally? Sorry, but I don' think so at all. And after listening to AT09 I think there is a high possiblity of her totally butchering the performances, even though You Were... is a pretty easy song

I think those songs were pretty good vocally too.
after watching AT 09 I'm even more sure that the performances will be nice.
and I have to disagree even more - I don't think You were... is a too easy song,
or if it is so easy I want every fan cover to be perfect.

nemesisyume is done

Yeah, the Sunrise performances were absolutely cringe worthy. I really find it difficult to find what exactly is the good point in them.

love in music 5th December 2009 06:14 PM

There was only one sunrise performance that I thought was bad.. I think it was when she was in yellow.. I forget which one that was. The rest were good, maybe even great. I don't think You were... is an easy song to sing at all.. it will probably end up being a screamfest lol. BALLAD on the other hand seems like it'd be a piece of cake to sing live, kind of like Sunset was.
