well at least the sales increased a little, XD I think we're near 115k!
|
i think 120k is possible target...
the sales is so steady around 300k for this past 2 weeks...i hope it will reach 120k |
hmm... I can't see it reaching as high as 120k. Sales are too low too soon.

I wish Ayu will release a single that can atleast sell 500 000 like before...
|
Wouldn't it be really frustrating if this single reaches 119k and then stops charting? (Like NL with 379k)
If it keeps up the steady sales then I think You were.../BALLAD has a shot at 120k, really. (119k lol) |

I guess it's more a sign of the times than anything. [almost 7 years ago now it was since her last 400-500k+ single.] If she was even able to sell 200-300k, she'd easily be in the yearly top 20 or something. Quote:

I agree. I dont think it can reach 120K. it will stop charting very soon.I guess its possible to hang around top 200 for 10 weeks
|
120k are possible if it continues charting for another 3-5 weeks and not drop under 250 copies per day.
|
Ah 120k would be lovely, wouldn't it?
If only this single could reach Days' status... haha |
^ You were... doesn't seem to be as popular as Days was, sadly :( Not all the songs she makes can become hits, so it's fine. She had 3 pretty solid hits (Days, Rule and Sunrise) in 2009 or at least the digital sales say that :P. 2010 has barely started ^_^
|
^ :yes though I must say You were... was a pretty solid single! I think 120k would be an ideal sales figure for me.. as long as she breaks 115k I would be satisfied lol
|
^ yea. Even though I prefer Sunrise (dunno why xD), the single was solid, but hey as long as she is able to be consistent compared to her previous release and not drop it should be ok. Atm I am more worried about how will the album fair :( Let's hope that NEXT LEVEL was the bottom for Ayu, even though looking at PAST<FUTURE and Namie's level of popularity I don't know what to think >.< I mean even she has no chances of beating Secret's sales (and Ayu wasn't really in her peak during that time...).
|
oh what was PAST < FUTURE's sales so far?
and about her new album... to me, it has a very basic J-Pop feel with Sunrise and You were..., so this "back to basics" might appeal to more Japanese? I surely hope so :yes |
PAST<FUTURE is currently around 520k (or at least it was a week ago), sure Namie's releases do have a long chart life but beating 666k is pretty far-fetched atm.
Anyways, yeah unlike NEXT LEVEL the singles for the new album have been pretty "safe" sounding, though one might as well say that about Days xD |
but Days has been the only "safe" sounding song in NEXT LEVEL. Sparkle, in particular was something totally out of the "Ayu-zone" imo lol.
and so ~520k so far? I don't know... I thought Namie only had the breakthrough in sales for BEST FICTION, and the rest of her releases after that have been around the sales figures of the female solo singer in this era (100-120k for singles; ~500k for albums -all these are in my opinion though!-) |
