Gossip magazine “Shukan Josei“s reported on September 7th that ex-KAT-TUN member, Akanishi Jin, will debut in a Hollywood movie – “Pirates of the Caribbean 4“, to be exact, scheduled for release sometime in 2011.

‘Shukan Josei’ contacted Walt Disney Japan for confirmation on the rumor, and they answered that they have not yet been informed about it at the moment.

If this is true, it would be a great chance for Jin, because according to Shukan Josei, Jin has been saying that his goal is Hollywood!

And btw, I think its pretty lame of them to make such a big change in the lyrics as they did. I mean the whole last part in the bridge before the last chorus is probably the line that get stuck in your head the most. Shake it, drink it, pump it. Aaah, epic. Well, this new version is either on the single or the album so I think its just a silly idea to make a point that hes not in anymore or whatever they are trying to do...

That Pirates of the Carribean story is really old news (no wonder they used an old pic of him), and was never actually confirmed. I don't get why it is making a comeback now....

I don't get why it's lame. Like you said the new version is not on the album and on the single. They did their TV performances for the song, the single is old and the time when they promoted it is long gone. So what does it matter if they never perform the original anymore? Maybe they just don't feel comfortable with singing these lyrics, seeing as Akanishi wrote them. Or they respect that this part is very much Akanishi and seeing as he is not there anymore they tried singing his part in rehearsals it didn't work out when Kame or whoever sang this part and they decided to change it. Well, it's no problem, at least not for me. I can always watch the PV or old performances if I want the other version.

i'd rather not skip class, Karen, lmao. i have class in the afternoon and it's going to take me forever to go through LA traffic. i try to avoid downtown LA at all costs. (worst traffic in the United States, you know!)

oh i totally didn't get the memo about the new single. :P i wonder if it's going to be the song, "Yellow Gold" w/ such touching lyrics as "My skin is yellow and my life is gold" :laugh i'm hoping for a Japanese song, personally. he can communicate so much better in Nihongo than Eigo (English). but we'll see.

btw...once we start getting official releases from Jin (which seems to be happening soon. i want dates & links up.), i'll move everything Akanishi to his own thread, so it won't clog up this thread for 5nin KAT-TUN. since i know Jin is a touchy subject around here.

I would want to see Akanishi release a Japanese driven song for a debut single . Something like BANDAGE if not Hatachi no Sensou will be <3

KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi meets childhood hero

KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya failed to hide his excitement while meeting former pro baseball player, and current sports reporter, Furuta Atsuya at an event for Panasonic.

The event was called Panasonic BEAUTY – a line for men’s electronic products – which Kamenashi Kazuya promotes. Even though Kamenashi was there to promote the products, he couldn’t help but talk about baseball all throughout the event with Furuta. Kamenashi is a big fan of baseball, and has been playing it since he was a child.

“He’s the player that I’ve followed before. I can’t believe I’m meeting him,” said Kamenashi in an interview.

While Kamenashi was still dazed from meeting his sports idol, Furuta commented that he’s as happy to be able to meet the JE star. “My wife is a big fan of him and asked me to take a lot of pictures with him,” said Furuta. He also gave Kamenashi some advice about the star’s work as a TV sports reporter.

Good thing Kamenashi still managed to promote the product despite being distracted by baseball. Kamenashi said that he hopes that more people use the products, whether it’s a man or a woman.

Panasonic BEAUTY is famous for its shaver (sold more than a million units) and blow dryer (sold about 4 million units).
