I doubt she'll have more than 2 singles this year. And there are like very slim chances the Xillia song will end up being a second a-side/b-side, cuz it's a major tie-in we're talking about. It should be promoted as a main a-side. And it doesn't even have to be a ballad...

I also think so. A lovely planning would be:

July: 51st single (summer pop song+Tales of Xillia ballad)
October:52nd single (rock song+pop song)
December: 53rd single (christmas ballad+ballad)
March: New Album

a really great plan!! but I hope Ayu will spend more time with her husband....and maybe starts a family~~ :)...and definitely a REAL REST!

If her vocals improve I can totally see her releasing more often :D

I like this, but I was thinking of the first song being in june (since the tales fest is later this month.. or do I have my months confused??)
Plus the Tales of Xillia has to be the main a-side! it is a major tie in!! ande not a ballad... I believe their has only been one ballad for the Tales series and it ended up being horrible... lol.. When I think of tales music I think of powerful, dance, epic music! :luv2

njanjayrp 11th May 2011 03:03 PM

^ when did Tales have a dance theme song o.O?

TeamAyu2004 11th May 2011 03:20 PM

^ i didnt mean they ever had a dance track (although i think the tracks from Vesperia, Abyss, and Symphonia border on that.. they are more rockish tracks though... Abyss always makes me want to dance).

I was saying that the tales series makes me think of powerful music, dancie music, and epicness music.

MissElin_ 11th May 2011 03:25 PM

Didn't some rumour say the song was somewhat ballad-y or did I just make that up in my mind...? O.o

Karma and Ring A Bell were pop/rock songs, but yeah they were powerful and energetic so I agree. So yeah I too am hoping for something along those lines and not another ballad.

I really wish the rumor about Nakano and TK would be true. They're my favourite composers ever :D and I'd really like a rockish song. Even if I love Ayu ballads though.

Actually we don't know anything for sure... There was that "Making Fate" rumour, which more or less implied it wouldbe a ballad, but it ended up being a hoax... Or is it Ayu who's fooling us ? :thud

CHE.R.RY 11th May 2011 09:03 PM

I actually wouldn't mind a ballad...like another part of me or something. But I guess only time will tell. I'm actually feeling kind of anxious to hear new music from Ayu lol. Damn you for spoiling us Ayu!!!

But of course I know she's got a life too lol.

Mirrorcle Monster 11th May 2011 09:53 PM

When i talked about the july single the order didn't mean that theTales of Xillia song was going to be the second song

i hope ayu will released A BEST 3 too in this year, and "makin fate" as bonus track (new single bonus) *giggle*

TeamAyu2004 12th May 2011 03:14 PM

this year would actually be a perfect year to release an A best, because I think we wont get an album till sometime next year!

I would love another one, we havent had anything for the albums of Secret onwards!

AyuGAME 12th May 2011 04:02 PM

^because of earthquake, i doubt she will release best album this year, next year will be a better choice, i think she will release another original album in the end of this year

i'm so excited for this tales of xillia release, it will introduce her music to younger listener and i think that's a good promotion

jbrat2219 12th May 2011 04:14 PM

Somehow I still think it's too soon for another best album!

TeamAyu2004 12th May 2011 04:16 PM

I was thinking the same thing about the tie-in.
I was saying to someone that she needed to do something big and get a whole new fan base.
Apparently there is a chart going around that shows the demographics of artist and ayumi does not have a big fan in the 10-20...

RayJason 12th May 2011 04:24 PM

It would be kinda useless if she would release "A BEST 3" now. Because she hasn't made any "new" singles. And the newer singles are also in "Love songs" (Moon, Last Angel, Virgin Road, Seven Days War etc). The only addition to an "A BEST 3" album would be "Dream On". (in my perspective)

tokyoxjapanxfan 12th May 2011 04:47 PM

She's in her 30s, it's perfectly normal for her to not have a big fanbase within the early teens. I wasn't jammin' out to Madonna when I was 10 :P

As for the later teens, I personally know a 16 year old. She was born in 1994, she barely knows who Ayu is, haha. She knows that she's famous, but not for what she brought to the Jpop scene in the early 2000's. :P

Even for 21 year olds like myself, following Ayu from the beginning to now would kinda be the equivalent of still following The Spice Girls (if they were together) or Hanson since their debut.

Some people move on, some don't haha.

Ayu's music is very specific. It's definitely not trendy, if that makes sense. I mean, there aren't many popular singers making songs like Love song :P

I am sixteen and I am born in 1994, how is she sixteen and born in 1997 ? :O
