Revival time!! :heart The preview for the PV! :D Something is off about the Japanese version of Bo Peep Bo Peep. :\

4minute Girl 30th August 2011 10:17 AM

It looks better than the Korean versions of the video

wildconnetta 30th August 2011 09:18 PM

I prefer that version to the Korean versions....lolz.

and also, @4minute: The reason why Hwayoung is closer to Coed is probably cos Hyoyoung is in the group.

And @bondingo: No I don't want Boram to gtfo. Or any of them, for that matter.

bondingo 31st August 2011 05:37 AM

^I wasn't the one who asked; I was just responding to someone who did lol

And I'm loving what I've seen and heard from this single. The song sounds great and not awkward like some Japanese versions of Korean songs, and the video looks a lot better than the original.

T-ara's Roly Poly shatters IU's record and becomes the #1 grossing song of 2011 thus far

T-ara’s “Roly-Poly” has become 2011’s top grossing song of the year thus far, thanks to its record $2 million USD in sales!

The previous record was set by IU’s “Good Day“, which garnered $1.3 million USD. T-ara shattered that record with the wide appeal of their retro concept, which drew interest not just from young idol fans, but from older audiences who felt a touch of nostalgia when they heard the song.

A representative of Core Contents Media said, “T-ara’s ‘Roly-Poly’ has been at the top for 10 weeks, bringing in $2 million USD in sales.”

The song averaged $30,000 USD in digital sales per day, and came up as the top digital hit song of the year. On August 1st, ‘Roly Poly’ recorded $200,000 USD alone, setting records all across the Korean digital music market. Hit albums usually only average about $300,000 USD in digital sales, so ‘Roly-Poly’ has definitely set a record that’s hard to achieve in the market.

While preparing to bid their fans farewell this week, the girls commented, “Thank you to all of our fans for giving so much love to ‘Roly-Poly’ over the past two months. We’re glad we were able to bring up fond memories for our fans in their 40s and 60s.”
Here is the yearly digital chart compiled (as of August 30)
#1 : T-ara - Roly Poly : 3,167,224
#2 : GG - I Cheated (Infinity Challenge) : 3,059,252
#3 : 2NE1 - I Am The Best : 2,838,067
#4 : 2NE1 - Lonely : 2,728,888
#5 : Kim Bum Soo - Please : 2,640,594
#6 : Drooping Snail - Apgujung Delinquents (Infinity Challenge) : 2,634,771
#7 : f(x) - Hot Summer : 2,617,526
#8 : Secret - Starlight Moonlight : 2,603,894
#9 : Park Bom- Don't Cry : 2,571,635
#10 : 2PM - Hands Up : 2,539,001
#11 : f(x) - Pinocchio : 2,525,796
#12 : Beast - Fiction : 2,454,703
#13 : Miss A - Good-bye Baby : 2,393,858
#14 : Sistar19 - Ma Boy : 2,347,242

AyUta 1st September 2011 05:50 AM

It sounds really good in Japanese :yes

YuriChan 1st September 2011 06:12 AM

Am I the only one that thinks that the Japanese version sounds cheap? O.o Maybe it's just me, I guess. :laugh

love in music 1st September 2011 07:27 AM

^No I think so too! the vocals and instrumental sound really cheaply mixed. I don't like the amount of autotune either. the PV was cute.. but the remake is just meh. I'll stick with the original.

YuriChan 1st September 2011 07:45 AM

I found a high quality version of the PV on arama! :D I think I'll stick with the Korean version of the song... Cute PV, regardless. ^_^

bondingo 1st September 2011 09:43 AM

The video's fantastic, but I don't totally love the new version of the song. I guess it would be hard to top the original for me since the original is one of my favorite songs ever, but the production just sounds a bit sloppy and weird. There's a lot more auto-tune than in the original too, and there was already a lot in that. Oh well, I still really like it, and have yet to hear a truly HQ version of the song, so I'll reserve final judgment until I have and let it grow on me.

miroro 1st September 2011 10:28 AM

^my thoughts exactly <3

4minute Girl 1st September 2011 10:33 AM

I never expect Japanese versions to be that good so it doesn't really bother me that much :laugh the only thing i wanted out of it was a better video which i got :)

adantatu2 1st September 2011 08:33 PM

i think Bo Peep Bo Peep is really catchy, but seriously i don't like the korean and the japanese MVs.
Oh well, the song isn't bad in japense, but i prefer the original one.

wildconnetta 1st September 2011 09:00 PM

I love the JPN version of Bo Peep Bo Peep

y_nathz 4th September 2011 06:51 AM

I'll judge the song when we got the more HQ mp3 but as for the video, I like it :yes

THEY'RE COMING BACK!!1

Boosted by the success of their smash-hit, “Roly-Poly“, T-ara has decided to join the comeback fray by returning with “Black Eyes” in October!

On September 8th, Core Contents Media revealed, “T-ara will be releasing a new album titled ‘Black Eyes’ on October 27th. We purposely matched up the dates to comeback at the same time as girl groups SNSD and the Wonder Girls, as well as soloist G-Dragon.”

They continued, “We’re just that confident in our album. T-ara will be letting go of their retro concept from ‘Roly-Poly’ and return to electronic sounds that teens like more. There will be added melodies that appeal to teens all the way up to those in their 60′s.”

Like their previous works, the album is the product of producers Brave Brothers and Shinsadong Tiger. Stay tuned for more info on its release!
wow:thud these girls doesn't stop
