KAT-TUN will contribute the theme song to Kame's new movie Joker・Game that will be released in cinemas on 31st Jan 2015

KAT-TUN to sing the theme song for Kamenashi Kazuya's starring film 'Joker Game'

The movie's official website has revealed a trailer for the movie featuring KAT-TUN's song "Dead or Alive". In it, you can see a digest to the story of the "black note" that is known to give its possessor the power to change history.

The full trailer for the spy suspense movie “Joker Game” starring Kamenashi Kazuya has been released. Filmed in Japan, Singapore and Batam, Indonesia, the newly released trailer showcases more action scenes as it gives a peek inside the intimate brain game revolving around the secret document called “black notebook”.

As also previewed from the trailer, KAT-TUN will be singing the theme song titled “Dead or Alive”. No single release has been confirmed yet.

On the eve of World War II, an international Asian city becomes a hub of a high-stakes “spy game” as spies from countries such as Japan, the UK, the Soviet Union, and Germany in order to give their respective countries any possible advantage in world diplomacy.

Kato (Kamenashi) is about to receive a severe punishment for disobeying his superiors when he’s scouted by a man named Colonel Yuuki (Iseya Yusuke) to become a spy for the secret intelligence agency D Kikan. He endures rigorous training and is eventually given his first mission as a secret agent. Kato must infiltrate the multicultural city referred to “Devil’s Metropolis” in order to take a critical “black notebook” from U.S. Ambassador Graham.

Kato attempts to find the notebook along with a mysterious woman named Rin (Fukada Kyoko). Meanwhile, D Kikan gets caught up in a fierce rivalry with a radical faction of the Imperial Japanese Army.

The movie opens January 31, 2015. The movie is directed by Irie Yu and is based on the bestselling novel of the same title written by Koji Yanagi. Other cast include Ozawa Yukiyoshi, Koide Keisuke, Koji Yamamoto, Shibukawa Kiyohiko, Taguchi Hiromasa, Mitsuishi Ken, and Shimada Kyusaku.

Kamenashi Kazuya's solo song to be included in KAT-TUN's 23rd single

Their 23rd single will come about 8 months after their last single "In Fact". The title track was recently picked up as the theme song for Kamenashi Kazuya's starring film 'Joker Game' that's scheduled to open in theaters on January 31, 2015.

The coupling track that have been revealed at this time is "Hanasanaide Ai", which will be included in the single's Limited Edition 2. This is Kamenashi's solo number that was performed for the first time during KAT-TUN's concert in summer of 2012. It was written and composed by KinKi Kids' Domoto Tsuyoshi. The DVD for Limited Edition 2 will contain the PV for "Hanasanaide Ai".

The coupling tracks for Limited Edition 1 and Regular Edition have not been revealed at this time. Limited Edition 1 will include 1 coupling track and its original karaoke version, while Regular Edition will include 2 coupling tracks and the original karaoke versions for each song.

INKT to hold their 1st one-man live on January 18

It's been revealed that five-member rock band INKT will be holding their first one-man live on January 18 at TSUTAYA O-WEST in Tokyo.

Earlier this month, INKT successfully held their first event 'INKT Fan Meeting Vol.1' at Shinagawa Stella Ball. During the event, vocalist KOKI expressed, "I am deeply moved that this day has finally come. I believe that we are a band that will be complete during our lives, so I want many people to see us set off the power that we have been saving up."

INKT formed in November of last year with KOKI (Vo / ex. KAT-TUN), mACKAz (B / ex. HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR), SASSY (Dr / ex. HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR), Kei (G), and kissy (Key). They officially began their activities on October 1 and released their first album "INKT" on November 8.

Kamenashi Kazuya and Fukada Kyoko teams up anew in new drama "Second Love"

Before their team up can be seen in the upcoming movie Joker Game, we’ll get to see them first in a new drama series. It was announced that Kamenashi Kazuya will be starring with Fukada Kyoko in TV Asahi’s Friday night drama “Second Love” starting January 2015.

Written by romance drama expert Oizhi Shizuka, Kamenashi and Fukada stars in this scandalous new genre called “night melodrama”, an adult dangerous love described as more painful than a soap opera. With “adult love story” as theme, the story depicts their love journey with many differences such as age, living conditions and values.

Kamenashi Kazuya plays the role of Taira Kei, a young man who dreams of being a contemporary dancer while being earnestly in love with an older woman. Kei has a talent for contemporary dance since he was young and went to study in Germany to join a dance company in his teens. He has won several international competitions and was referred to as a “prodigy”. However, he encountered a setback in the middle and got frustrated. He returned to Tokyo and takes a part-time work while he tries to re-capture his dream.

Fukada Kyoko, plays Nishihara Yui, a Chemistry teacher in her 30s, working at a prestigious high school. Even while continuing a love affair with a married colleague, she was still lonely until she meets Kei and gets swallowed in passion.

This is Kamenashi’s first drama on TV Asahi.

Kamenashi comments “When I look at my photos, I never felt my sex appeal. So when my appearance on this adult love story was decided, I asked “Are you okay with me? “ (laughs). Nevertheless, he won’t be shy now, and will devote himself to this melo night drama with an “adult world view” peeking at the intense love pattern of men and women. He wants to continue to do his best, he says with enthusiasm.

“Second Love” will air every Fridays, 11:15 pm, starting January 2015.

Lyrics, music and arrangement of “Dead or Alive” is by Jovette Rivera and Maiko Kawabe Rivera, the couple who are also responsible for KAT-TUN’s past album highlights (PHOENIX, MOON, 1582, TABOO, Water Dance). It is the first time their track is used as KAT-TUN’s A-side single. The song is described as a hard tune which depicts the paper-thin extremity between life and death as geniuses put their intelligence to the test for this dramatically impactful and large-scale game. This work shows how KAT-TUN continues to dig even deeper as they mature.

Prior to the release, KAT-TUN will be holding their Countdown Live/ come Here Tour at Kyocera Dome on December 30 and 31. Check out their new song below!
