She got this silly and catchy melody, then got the opportunity to work with DJ Hello Kitty, and I guess she just thought it would be a fun experience, and it was, we have a silly yet very catchy pop song that is not at all hard to get into. You just have to forget all this idealism about wanting Hamasaki Ayumi to only release masterpieces, and listen to this song more open minded and without thinking too much about it. Why can't she have a little fun? She's not a built robot designed to be the empress of pop who shall only release epicness even after 15 years... Sometimes I think people idealize Ayu's image way too much >_<

well said!

Agree with everything pimenta said. It's easy to understand why people have such high expectations of Ayu, but as was already said, not everything she releases has to be a masterpiece. I still don't care for CAROLS at all and I don't understand all the hype around it, back then or now. :shrug

There is no need to worry.

^Damn.. how can you even manage that lol?
I think my most played song has around 200-250 plays, i can't repeat a track that much without getting bored and uninterested. Everything that gets over 50+ plays is major success to me :laugh

I am very picky about music to begin with. It's basically like... if I really like an artist, I can probably loop their tracks endlessly, haha. Depends on what else is around really... It was hard to run through LOVE again much since it was a whole album, but I came close to about 100 plays-per-track on that album before I switched to Tell All.

Namie's Contrail has a few hundred plays (400+) atm after I discovered it about a week after Feel the love. I actually play the tracks simultaneously so they sort of mashup, haha.

u looped this even when u were sleeping and not using your computer/ipod right? because if my numbers are right, in this 8 days we get the song you should've listened 24 hours a day IN FOUR days to get that mark. '___'

truehappiness 31st October 2013 08:38 AM

No, I was around the entire time when listening to it, haha. I'd say I've had it since the day after release on iTunes and haven't really stopped playing it since then. I can sometimes hear the song mashed up with Contrail even when I'm going to bed... (I put my computer to sleep)

I just really like the song and it feels like it's been ages since we had something upbeat like this. (I know You & Me wasn't that long ago but the chorus is wackadoodle addicting)

Pieces_of_SEVEN 31st October 2013 08:51 PM

I'm only at about 120 plays...lord lol

rainbow_smile 31st October 2013 09:55 PM

Celebrating 111 plays ~

I'm a bit afraid of listening to it too much because I don't want to get tired of it when the single comes out :D

^I do this with every new song because I become obsessed with it...obviously it's not AS exciting when the full single leaks, but it's still fun.

btw you guys could give the youtube link more views instead of only listening the song on your players =\\ it's around 375k now, we could take it to 400k by sunday.

Qt Mashi 1st November 2013 01:07 PM

Yeah, I'm trying to do that too! Haha. I'm actually not sure how the YouTube algorithm works though so I'll probably just be pressing play every so often.

Wow! Seems as though every time I refresh, there are about 100 new views.

I'm trying to do that, but my Internet is too slow for that. But I usually load it, switch the sound off and still listen to it on my player though haha

ImpactBreaker 2nd November 2013 12:51 PM

This song is much better than You & Me, because the chorus is catchier. I love it so far!

ayu_ready? 2nd November 2013 01:45 PM

DJ Kitty might be great for the teens but for Ayu - I'm not so sure. sounds like a cheap work and not quite a serious approach imo

That'd be horrific. Everything Yasutaka gets in touch with immediately turns into an indefinable vocaloid pop. I have listened to his works; Ami Suzuki, MEG, Kyary, capsule, mini and it's one indistinguishable mass of random vocals that all sound more or less the same.

Exactly and only some of those songs are pretty good.

Really liked Feel the love, it's all about having fun and enjoying the moment, makes me want to dance with my friends! But I hope ayu haven't dig too much in EDM for the new album.
