I received my JAPONESQUE CD+Goods last week but uploaded pics just now, I am IN LOVE with it :heart So glad I could finally buy it! The PB is LIFE and it is so big :heart :heart :heart

JAPONESQUE limited edition is so good! I'd love her to do another elaborate theme with photobook. Her last two albums felt so empty in their theme and shoot in comparison.

It can go no better than #104 in the Oricon charts. Way off their top ten peak back in 2007!

But then again, there's a reason why I'm still a fan of Yanawaraba, even through the tough times we've been facing. Yanawaraba is a good example of Japanese modern folk music out there. And focusing on an artist that is way behind on the Oricon charts...now I'm more comfortable than all those "Johnny's Sweep" and AKB48 #1 releases that I at times talk about.

@Gustavopc: That JAPONESQUE version is so worth it. When I found it for sale at bookoff last year I nearly ran to the cashier to buy it lol
I wish I knew how many CDs I have... I have tried so many times to keep an updated list of my CD collection, but I've failed every time, I'm too lazy to update it... sometimes I don't even remember of I have a certain CD or not :laugh

I just know how many I keep an excel spreadsheet and it counts how many discs by each artist I have and also their country hahahaha perks of being an engineer :laugh Funny you say you're lazy to updated it, pimenta, cause I always keep my CDs and books spreadsheets updated, but have tried and given up on keeping one for my money (priorities lol)

^ Totally get you, but I guess I'm lazy with everything that involves keeping track of things :laugh

At one point I used to have a spreadsheet similar to yours, the problem is that I never updated it once new things arrived, and then it got to a point where there was too many things to add and I was too lazy to do it hahaha

But soon I'll have to reorganize all my CDs (I had a whole closet removed from my bedroom and it's going to be replaced with a new one I'm going to use to store my CDs, so they're all currently in boxes >_<)... I guess it's going to be the perfect time to go through all of them and make a new spreadsheet...

So my disc #100 came this week lol


Buuuut there were three discs in the package so I don't know which to consider the 100th? :laugh I guess I'll take it as ETERNITY cause I love it :P

I was so shocked that the middleman told me I won the live DVD as it's a lucky draw item & the guys' record label only printed 1,000 copies of it D:

ARASHI - Japonism album (Taiwan press , CD + DVD which comes with a 84 page booklet with lyrics , special package & Chinese translation sheet)

Japonism is downright ugly but the packaging is superb & really solid . Kudos to avex Taiwan for making all 3 editions as I was not so keen to ask my sister to help me get it last month when she went back Tokyo

Is Japonism good ? no but I love Kokoro no Sora , the PV & song is solely 1 reason enough to buy the album

So it became the best selling album of the year and it's not even good? lol
I know ARASHI is extremely popular and all, but sometimes I just don't get it...

Considering that I've been a long time fan of them , Japonism was a step down to me as I feel their past 2 albums were better

To cut a long story short , what suffered for Japonism was the length (it's almost 1 1/2 hours long if you include all the bonus tracks in all 3 editions) & also the album tracks were a big disappointment

Only the 1st 1/2 of Japonism is good as the tracks had a really good strong Oriental sound . The 2nd 1/2 is just rubbish :no

It sucks cos the lead album track Kokoro no Sora is a masterpiece & when you're talking about Hotei Tomoyasu , he's a big heavyweight & for him to fly all the way back home to Japan in order to shoot the PV with ARASHI (as he's based in London now , let alone he wrote & composed Kokoro no Sora for them) , it means something

Doesn't mean that I've been a fan of them for so long I don't know what works & doesn't work for them
