I can't stop smiling since the venue is just one MRT stop from where I'm living!
|
I'm waiting for European dates....

My friend told me that Perfume is having private english lessons with a friend of him so we might see some more natural and fluid interactions in this World Tour <3
|
^ I hope so, that's awesome! I thought they did a great job on the COSMIC EXPLORER tour but I'm excited to see possible improvement.
I snagged tickets for me and my bf to see Perfume for their NYC date, is anyone else going? Also Future Pop is okay. I prefer COSMIC EXPLORER, mainly because it felt like their style matured a lot, while FP kind of feels like business as usual. Still a pretty solid album though - it'll probably grow on me more after I see them live. |
I would have gone with friends to NYC date but I didn't know if I'd be traveling during that time (wedding invite...) I wasn't so keen on Future Pop so it's ok. I'll probably feel left out when the actual day comes lol.

I went to their concert last night, and it was unbelievably awesome!
First, the venue is tiny, only about 3000 audience (and it's literally 5 minutes ride from where I live). I was standing in the last line but right middle, due to my height I could easily watch the whole thing symmetrically. I've watched the broadcasted WOWOW version earlier, but I didn't know the whole advance technology would look sooooo much cooler with your own eye. I LOVE the opening, freaking amazing. The stage was relatively small, and they did their best to show off their tech and effect i.e. FUSION, Future Pop Etc. There cut so many songs from their initial setlist, even Let me know was cut :( that's my fav song, but add up tracks like: Pick me up, Polyrhythm, Secret Secret with an additional remix. They even did an encore with Magic of Love and Mugen Mirai. The audience sang STAR TRAIN after the show, a-chan sang a line with us behind the stage. One thing that kinda awkward was the 4 LED screens they used during FUSION. For some songs like tiny baby, only 3 screens were used, so the other one was put aside, but neglected in an awkward place which all of the audience could see... I mean, you can hide it somewhere else you know :shrug |
Thank you for the review!
Teaser for the FUTURE POP Blu-Ray/DVD: It's releasing April 3rd. Also, they tweeted an English Interview with Billboard about their upcoming Coachella performance: https://www.billboard.com/articles/c...ella-interview They said they created a special setlist just for the festival, and that they have already starting thinking about their next album. I found this question very interesting: Quote:

Saw them in Toronto 2 days ago. Good show and a-chan was adorable~ The girls did talk ALOT in English and tried to connect with the audience. I was hoping to hear Dream fighter but alas...
|
^A few years back in Germany Dream Fighter was one of three songs the audience could choose from. The picked DF and after that they stated that they don't like to perform it cause it is so difficult to them lol
|
^^Really? well there goes any hope I had of ever hearing it live :(
|
Ah, man, while BlackPink is riding the attention wave, Perfume's management forbid a live stream for their Coachella performance. And even fancams, lol.
That's why KPop made it big and JPop stays a local phenomenon. But still great they're on a big international festival. |
I was surprised that their performance would not be broadcasted. I wonder if they are afraid of people being mad that they don't sing... I hope the overall audience get their concept. Best luck to them <3
