Day 18: A song from the month you were born
March has surprisingly many songs I love! My choice is Moments, one of the first Ayu songs I was introduced to and fell in love with. I kind of fell out with the song over the years, as it is on the long side and the lalalas can get a little tedious. But lately I've fallen in love with it again: it's grand and sweeping, the melody is beautiful (and I really love to sing along with it!), and the lyrics are so good, I'm obsessed with the last stanza (I will become anything / So you need not / See anything you fear / Ever again). (Honorable mention: HEAVEN x DAISHI DANCE, released on my actual birthday!) Spoiler:

Day 19 - End of the world + forgiveness - This is a very very hard one because Ayu has so many songs that make you think about life, and that´s what I love, she has so many deep songs not just only songs about being happy, about love and the typical "heartbroken" songs. |

Day 18: A song from the month you were born Endless Sorrow. Ugh, the single version is so much better than the version on I Am.... It's truly the only blemish on an otherwise perfect album. Day 20: A song that has many meanings to you crossroad For this day I have to go with crossroad again. One of the meaning can be found in my answer for day 4. Crossroad helped me last year during a hard time were I Had to make a decisions: Will I Go Back to Germany or do I want to spent more time in Iceland? It was such a hard Thing to decide because there was No right or wrong and Í kinda wanted both. crossroad was a song that helped me sort out thing while I took a long Walk. This and also everywhere nowhere |
Day 20: Together When...
This song was released on the day my grandfather died. It was the first time I had to deal with death and I was not doing well, this was also because of depression and anxiety. I remember tearing up, everytime when I saw the broken-doll scene from the PV. Together When... reminds me of sadness, but it also helped me to get through this dark time. It came at the right moment when I needed it, and as 14-year-old teen I felt somewhat understood. I always play Together When... on its release date - it's like a ritual now. I don't do it for grandpa, - allthough I think of him when this song is on - but I think it is important to embrace whatever helped me to move forward in a very difficult time. |

19 - how beautiful you are haha cheesy but sometimes we all should think about our lives with the thought that we are all enough and beautiful. social media tends to make me feel insecure about myself almost everyday and makes me often think about how everyone else has everything better than me. after all we are all the same and we all deserve to be loved the way we are. i'll have to admit that i might not be the biggest fan of the song but everytime i think about it, it makes me appreciete my life 20 - Merry-go-round this was the hardest one for my to choose because almost every song has only one strong feeling in to it in my mind. Merry-go-round was released when I was in a relationship that was like one in the lyrics, everytime I said goodbye when we parted, I never was sure was that the last time I would see him. We broke up on new years eve which kinda was in the lyrics as well. After some time passed, it became my "it's time to let go" song and even later "i'm gonna find someone else someday in the future" song. So this song for me is the one with messy relationship, break up, healing and moving on. Everytime I listen to it, I think about him tho but in a bittersweet way |
