You mean 2008?

No rearrangements and no dancers flailing around, I literally cried and I'm so happy with it!

yup! I love the performance from PoM but this one is even better - the original arrangement is way superior

Just watched it (Thanks Koumori :heart) and I loved it, her voice was really good imo and the setlist simply great! I didn't find her costumes and hairstyle flattering at all but that didn't affect how much I enjoyed this show :yes

AyuGAME 27th July 2020 04:18 AM

She sings really well...effortless especially My All

I was amazed by her vocals in aeternal, the whole concert was great, but in that song she did it with such control.

Oh, and I cried when she came in at the end of End roll, that was SO BEAUTIFUL. I love this woman.

Yes lol. It was the 10th Anniversary, Asia tour lol

Grandma's attempts at baby voice and screaming throughout the show are killing me. Nevertheless Monochrome was enjoyable for the most part.

Yeah, I am still trying to accept that her way of singing has not changed significantly since the early days, however the "colour" of her voice has (along with some questionable singing techniques). In some of the songs she was pretty close to emulating her early way of singing and somehow the first part of Ohia sounds better live as she did not stress the words as much, aeternal too.

Wow. I'm really impressed!
As you all said they did a good job on so many levels here.

As regards ayu, she did a wonderful job vocally wise. I was first under the impression that her voice was live corrected but the few off-key parts prove me wrong. She hit some notes I thought she wouldn't almost effortlessly.
Of course there is room for improvement, more control, less shouting, better breathing. But she really delivered (no pun here :D). Keep on the good work.

As regards her look, I think she gained more weight after CDL. That could explain the swollen face. Or some medical treatment. I hope it's this + the pregnancy and not some fillers that she really doesn't need...

Concert is great, but those pigtails are crime against humanity.

Thought so...I was at the show they filmed for the TV recording (as well as the day before) and I remember the End roll performance setting my teeth on edge lol

It’s strange how inconsistant she can be from a song to another ! Sometimes it’s really good with some notes being sung like some others says effortlessly and sometimes she is hoarse and have difficulties to hit the notes without sounding shouty. The more the years go by, the more she needs to adjust her ear monitor while singing. Nonetheless, she did well throughout the show and I wish her to continue improving.

The styling was not very flatering this time but I don't mind.

Honestly, since she announced the further degradation of her hearing I treat any good live performance as a nice surprise, not the standard. I know she chose to continue performing of her own will but I can't imagine how difficult and frustrating the adjustment must be considering her health :( I'm sure she's trying her best. If I were in her situation, it would break me. I admire her strength.

truehappiness 27th July 2020 08:27 PM

The inconsistency seems to be expected nowadays knowing that her other ear had been working overtime to try to compensate. Though it is relieving to hear that the songs made after the fact (aeternal, Ohia no Ki) were probably also the most in control she was vocally for the live.

Anna.L 28th July 2020 02:41 AM

i just see the concert
its really a bless this pause, even when she's screaming too much, its better
but when she low the tone, it WAY better
like last angel, when it was like a lower voice than a high pitch

I just noticed that Lee wasnt in this concert. Is he still with ayu??

truehappiness 28th July 2020 06:18 AM

He seemed to be on for Saigo no Trouble, maybe he didn't feel comfortable performing for now with the COVID stuff?

I hope he is absent only for this online concert.
I really like him!!

End roll is one of my fav songs but honestly I don't think I've ever enjoyed a live performance she has done of it, here included.

I watched the whole concert and I agree her vocals aren't really consistent but when they're good they're really good! the Love Song performance has to be my favorite, such a powerful performance :heart
