it's a comparison between Ken Hirai & a popular songstress Hitoto Yo. so apparently if you digitally edit a song by Hitoto Yo by lowering the pitch 20-30% she'll sound like Ken Hirai!

Hitoto is one of my favorite singers, and Ken should really cover the song "Morainaki" that's played in the vid. "his" version sounds good :P

^i think ken popularity has dropping too...number 2 is still good though, since she battle with best album...japanese love best album

I know :( but if this keeps up it wouldn't be the 1st time Ken didn't debuted at no.1 on the Oricon but personally I don't care . He has accomplished so much in his 13 years career .

I didn't realize that Kou Shibasaki is so popular. it's pretty impressive that she managed to get to top spot over Ken ...

Ah... the GOOD singers like Ayu and Ken have not been getting #1 recently... oh well I don't really care about that anymore... quality music is what matters! And fakin' pop is FULL of that!

That's because this generation of pop megastars like Ayu and Ken...is over. Hikaru is popular still, but she could put out a blank CD and everyone would buy it anyway. She doesn't count.

^ I would not bet on it. if it weren't for FoL I'm pretty sure Utada's upcoming album would sell around the same as Guilty. and because of FoL i'm guessing it'll sell around the same as Kingdom.

I'm sure Ken will manage to outsell Shibasaki Kou in the end tho, his album will probably have a long chart life.

what matters's his music ! It doesn't make sense if fakin' pop debut at no.1 but if the material on there's poor .

I think so & now currently the age of the boybands has surfaced back .

You look at all the boybands under Johnny Entertainment , Avex's EXILE . They sell like crazy despite the slump in physical cd sales .
