Arena Tour 2002 was ruined with terrible DVD editing. XD Ew for behinds the scenes stuck all other the performances. D< Also they took out most of the audience's screaming and they hardly ever took shots of the audience.

I was wondering about the cameras used in these tours also, seems the quality was upped since AT05. :0

EDIT:
My ranking of tours:

1. Arena Tour 2005 ~MY STORY~
2. Dome Tour 2001
3. Arena Tour 2006 ~(miss)understood~
4. Arena Tour 2003-2004
5. A Museum
6. Arena Tour 2002 (wasn't the worst but not my fav in terms of video editing)

Haven't seen any of the rest~

The behind-the-scenes weren't as bad as the "July 1st" performance in "STADIUM TOUR".

[taskin.ayu] 7th November 2006 03:57 AM

I haven't seen Stadium Tour, but I did hear how weird they did it. XD It was a pity how they butchered it kinda, they should have had them as bonus videos instead of plastered all over the footage. :/

truehappiness 7th November 2006 04:01 AM

Basically, Ayu singing July 1st played in the background and there was 90% behind the scenes stuff and 10% Ayu singing footage. XD

*hearT_Place* 7th November 2006 04:37 AM

I haven't seen all of AT02, but from what I did see, I was annoyed by the behind the scenes being shown right in the middle of a performance.

truehappiness 7th November 2006 08:05 AM

I just realized that they just remade the AT06 B&D/Startin'/UNITE! dancer outfits for a-nation '06, just in white. LOL

There will be subtitles/translations of the entire concert in a few weeks, something to look forward to? :).

He held up his guitar once on every performance, and every time it said something new, there's a collection of them at the last disc I heard.

You made me curious, so I decided to check out the UNITE performance on Youtube. His guitar says 打ち上げまでがツアーです uchiage made ga tsuaa desu. It basically means "This is the final show of the tour."

I remember him holding up almost the same message during another concert I watched, except he had written "sweat drop" after it. ^^;

Its simply amazing. I was stunned at the first part. Born to be was a great opening! if only i was there.

Also did you notice that AYu's voice is getting worse? i mean its sounding lower than usual. When she sang her usual Boys and Girls, her usual high voice turned into a very low tone voice and it sounded very different. I think ayu should take a long rest and save her voice.

ruixiong89 9th November 2006 09:39 AM

^ Yup, I kind of realised that her voice became a lot more lower this time round. But I think it doesn't affect the performances she did.

I was unhappy about all the "Raise your hands up" and "Yeah Yeah" and "Uh uh" she was doing to hype the audience up. It's EXCESSIVE.

I don't think it has anything to do with her voice getting worse, and if anything, "resting" your voice is what will make it worse. I didn't find B&G much lower than AT05... it's simply a less straining way of using your voice, and remember, 8 years has passed since she wrote that song, voices change naturally.

I think that any pop/rock star should be allowed to freak out as much as they want on stage, they deserve it for being so good :D... Ayu, scream on... haha. I think she more does it in order to have something to yell, instead of just being quiet and singing.

truehappiness 9th November 2006 10:46 PM

I think that if she used her high voice, people would be all "Wtf. You're 28. >>"

Anyways, I think the Raise your hands! and YEAH YEAAHHs are vital, as remember, this was a LIVE show, and you're kinda just sitting/standing in the audience.. :) She does it because she's an awesome entertainer <33 I mean if you went to some huge popstar's concert, would you want them to avoid hyping you up? :|

immel 9th November 2006 10:49 PM

And, by the way ruixiong, I can tell you from first hand experience that in my eyes it isn't excessive. A lot of people just stand there, as if perplexed to paralyzation by something, not clapping, not cheering, not waving, not jumping, no nothing.

Japanese audiences is pretty boring compared to how it can be in the US.

truehappiness 9th November 2006 10:53 PM

I've heard that Angela Aki [FFXII theme lady] does concerts like UBERWELL and people are like ":|" during the performances and after.. :|

Beyond the Sea 10th November 2006 01:59 AM

OMG!

My friend and I were talking about alterna today in class, and she told me something I never realized. I said, "WTF is Ayu supposed to be in the alterna performance?"

and she's like

"duh, a fish."

And I basically had a heart attack! This entire time I thought she was part of some weird african tribe!

immel 10th November 2006 02:04 AM

The whole performance is under water, you know. If you look at the outro of Ladies Night she's pushed into the water, and in the intro of alterna she's lying underwater. During almost the entire alterna performance there's bubbles on the background screens and blue lights.

Duh! But people on stilts dressed like Zebras don't make me think of fish.

immel 10th November 2006 02:27 AM

True. I am yet to see the alterna performance closer up than I've done this far... on DVD. I want to see her outfit clearly, I still can't make out what it really looks like. That thing on her head with wings, and how the zebra striped outfit actually looks.

truehappiness 10th November 2006 04:02 AM

It's not zebras... :<

It's like abstract fish and stuff.

:) Go-mi is an example. I need to take some caps. brb.

IMO, she was going for a Cirquedesoleil-ish thing for alterna... :P
This person reminds me of alterna ayu + the AT06 alterna-ness:
