yea really. this thread is really pointless, annoying, and if i wanted to participate in the question then my answer is this thread! its bound to explode once someone eventually offends someone else because a petpeeve of theirs is something that the other person likes

I hate how she is subjective to a lot of scrutiny by some of her fans. Musically, it's understandable, but in terms of her personal life, it's annoying. Even if she smoked, has botox weekly, sees a random guy every other day, she is still Ayumi and it's her songs that matter!

It's Ayumi related and I hate it so it counts!

You know what criminal said was true. This year a lot of ppl have been thrashing Ayu...sometimes I feel like the only one who really likes Ayu still...(not literally but just about)
I will admit that I did participate in this thread and named off some stuff that I hated about her but I feel sorry for doing it now :/

I'm glad others feel that way--I feel less guilty or having these same sentiments :innocent

I mean, I understand if there really are things about her you don't like such as a singing style, an outfit, a decision for an album/composition--that's totally fine. But some of these things you guys "hate" are just... not something that seems to even be an issue. O_o Like it isn't even Ayu's fault or under her control. Looking over some of these complaints I can't help but feel like some people need to remember "if it isn't broken, don't fix it."

I don't think she had a plastic surgery. It is not necessary these days to look perfect on the cover of the magazines.

its not pointless. its actually interesting how many crooked people there are and how many things can be overlooked by just the beauty of music alone. i find this thread fascinating. some people are so darn sensitive and some are just so cold. hahahahah. its great.

I love ayu but it would be awesome if she did something other than just being Ayumi Hamasaki the great fashonicon, the great lyricswriter ect. I want her to be so much more. on her free time maybe try rescuing the dying animalspecies around the world or donate money.

I don't "hate" anything about her, but things I don't like:

1) That she wears fur. Unless it's faux fur, which I think is almost as bad. Fur is not glamorous; it's cruel!

2) Kind of like #1, her obsession with diamonds/gold is ridiculous. Especially considering the problems with the Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone.

3) I, too, am not fond of her vibratto. It works in some performances, but in others it causes an otherwise beautiful song make me cringe.

4) I'd like more variety in her concert dvds. I love Evolution, Boys and Girls, and Trauma, but I'd like her to perform some other songs from her albums, too.

5) When she makes her voice really high-pitched, I guess to sound cute. I don't like it. Example: the last line of her Memorial Address performance. But I forgive her, because I absolutely love that song and performance.

6) I agree that Peco and the other backup singer suck. They sound like they're wailing, and I especially don't like when they do the introduction of dancers/musicians "who! ow! who! ow! yeah! " lol

7) That Ayu's fans don't seem to enjoy the dancers/musicians; they are rude during solos and keep screaming "Ayu!"

8) Her English! It's really terrible. Considering most of her titles are in English, you'd think she could speak it better.

totally agree.. though I think the 'subway' thing won't occur in japan.. every single girl on japanese magazine has blonde hair.. ayu looks good n natural with the dark hair..

yup.. I just hate T/W and Glitter/Fated 's cover.. it's a disaster.. miss those cover on the I Am, Memorial Address, free n easy era

shoo agree with you.. she seems to use the same word n theme, over, over, n over.. though the lyrics are good n I fall for it everytime but I don't think that ayu'll still be hanging on there for the next 10 years if she keeps using the same material.

ya I hate it soo much.. and the whole glitter/fated thingy is so not ayu.. it seems that she produce the single only for the HK n taiwan' concert sake

and about the vibrato thingy..well I love it.. but sumtimes she just overdoes it.. and sometimes puts to much emotion when singing live.. and it's wrong for a professional singer
