I think it's possible to have new single between august and september IMO

freedreamer 9th June 2008 11:30 AM

^haiz...seems like another 2 single a year thing

apple-pi 9th June 2008 05:14 PM

Noooooo! :weep
That would be so depressive!
Maybe Ayu is planning to make an entire new album with no singles :lech
(since MW peobably/hopefully won't be place in the album)

It wouldn't sell much LOL :laugh But it would be interesting! Who knows! (maybe she'll pull a melody.~)

njanjayrp 9th June 2008 06:10 PM

I doubt she'll rush things, and for all we know, Ayu's been super busy with the tour, its too early to think about a new album, as GUILTY was barely released half of year ago.

ayumisrael 9th June 2008 06:15 PM

I don't get why people think that Mirrorcle World won't be on the album.
It's an A-side and has a PV even though it's a full song from an interlude.
It will surely be on the next album, lucikly XD

Ayu is pressured to release one album a year though :( I would rather wait like 2-3 years if it means I'm getting a good quality album.

apple-pi 9th June 2008 06:57 PM

I'm not saying she'd release an album in August instead of a single o____O
I mean, she might just skip single releases this year and release a completely new album at the end of december/beginning of january~ it would be something different for the 10th anni, and she wouldn't have to worry about single promotion during the year and dedicate to AT08.
As for MW, being a an extended version of a song from GUILTY is, for me, enough reason to at least hope it won't be on the next album. I mean, different albums have different sounds, concepts, styles, feelings... MW would either sound out of place, or we'll get an album indentical to GUILTY, which would be boring. IMO. Plus, being released as a special 10th anniversary celebration single, it kinda stands on it's own.

Ayu, ayu fans, and AVEX don't believe in good quality albums. :rolleyes

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if MW would be on the album, but I'd be kinda annoyed. I don't really get why anyone would hope for it to be on the album, since you can listen to it enough without it being there. -__- I love the song but still, I wish it won't be on the album.

I for one, don't buy singles, and Mirrorcle World is a really good song for my personal taste, I really love it, therefore I would like it to be on the next album because I buy albums and not singles.

People should also understand that this kind of rock became ayu's defining style and until she will do a drastic change her main style in her albums will be rock oriented, so if you like rock I don't think anyone would mind, if you like it to an extend you will want something else and if you don't like rock you won't like it at all.

ayu's defining style became rock most likely because that's what most of her japanese fans like until they will like her doing another style then she will have to move to that and she wants and has to satisfy most.

After all she is in avex :laugh

DustSagara 9th June 2008 09:07 PM

Wow

Melon Panda 9th June 2008 09:23 PM

I don't mind Mirrorcle World being on the next album so long as the track listing for the album is good. It's a good song, and Ayumi's next album will probably have more than one rock-oriented track anyways.

Maybe this year Ayumi will release a mini-album instead. She's rather busy, and given that it's her tenth anniversary, a mini-album would fit.

I know her style right now is very rock oriented, and the next album very probably will be rock too. But if you look at MY STORY and Secret, which were also rock influenced they're still separate "identities" from GUILTY. There's more to an album than just the genre of music it contains. You can just look at interviews - for an instance, that one where Ayu talked about why she named Secret that, how the theme of the album really was secrets, not as in things you don't tell people, but as in sides of you few people know (or something like that?). I also believe there was an interview where she talked about how when she finished GUILTY, she felt differently from when she recorded most of her albums, and that the feeling was similar to what she felt after finishing Duty (that's maybe why both covers have the leopard pattern present).
GUILTY was named that way for a reason, it has a theme, a purpose, tells a story. Carrying a song from it over to the next album would be totally awkward.

As for buying singles and not albums, I don't really understand your point o__o; not saying it's wrong, I just really don't understand it lol. To me, what you buy was always simply a matter of how much money you're willing to spend. You can obivously still listen to MW if it's not in an album, and you can obviously still listen to it even if you don't buy the single... except maybe you can't listen to it outside the computer, but even in that case, it's really easy to download a FLAC version of the single a burn a copy if it's needed.

There are times when I feel I'd like certain singles and B-sides to be placed in an album, but mostly because I feel they'd just sound right together, or because I think a song has potential but can't stand on it's own, so it should be placed among others to sound the best. Not because I want to listen to that song, an album is a lot more than just a song, more than just a group of songs o____o; With MW, even a person who wouldn't be bothered if it were placed in an album, I don't see why they'd actually feel like it fits in there, actually "want" for it to be there...

When I say we'd probably get an album identical to GUILTY, I really mean it, I'm not talking just about the genre~

Unless, of course, Ayu starts making full versions of all her introductions and interludes to make an album based around that concept. In that case, MW being placed there would make absolute sense, clearly. But I don't see how it would be good otherwise.

About the buying only albums thing I forgot to say that songs I like I would like to have them on a physical CD and have it rather than just download it and leave it as that, I'm like that due supporting and for the sake of having the CDs which I use them and they are not just on the shelf to get dust XD.

Mirror was just an interlude, as Mirrorcle World became a full song it also became a different idea song.
Mirrorcle World is like about how ayu feels about her future and how she sees it and Mirror is a different thing, ayu could use the same input of lyrics for a totally different idea as long as Mirror is not a full song and she added lyrics.
That's why it can also be in an album with a new theme.

For the B-side part I'm also happy when a b-side make it to the album (if I like it) I was happy about how she left Two of us outside of A Song for xx because I don't like Two of us at all XD

apple-pi 9th June 2008 09:58 PM

Well, if she can actually make it work with the album I'd be ok with it. I just wonder if she could pull it off XD

(and I've never listened to Two of us lol)

Ayumiko 9th June 2008 10:00 PM

I don't mind having MW on the next album...but it would be better if its a bonus track. I really hope we'll get 2 more singles this year...one in august, one in october, and a album in december/january.

ayumisrael 9th June 2008 10:01 PM

Well as we can't know the theme of the album I think we have to wait for the next album and see how Mirrorcle World fits there.
It's not impossible at all to put it in a new album with a whole new theme (as it won't be Mirror that will be there).

I don't think it's because her fans like it, but because SHE likes to do it. It's hard to know which style her japanese fans like the most, but I don't think it's rock, or else t2m would have sold better. Anyway, I think she does rock because she likes it (I don't even think these songs she's doing is rock lol they're just heavier than her previous works and pop music in general). It seems they don't like when she does sth different, because B&D/P didn't sell that good also.. /o\

And I think MW will be on her next album, just like Life o_O Well, we'll see ^^

MissElin_ 9th June 2008 11:31 PM

Well, it all depends of the theme for the album. MW might be a song that doesnt fit in the new album you know? Well, this is only speculations, we all have to wait and see. I wouldnt be supriced if MW will be in thw next album, but it would be cooler if she let MW be. Like a 10th (non-almub) single special. ^^

Anyway, I would like a new mini-album too. With none interludes. Just great composed songs and it will be just like the masterpiece Memorial Address (the album). But since its avex we talk about, and they made Secret to a full length album in the last minute, it will probably not be a mini-album. :P
