^If you like (their) rock-ish stuff, then definately the "Real Face", "Yorokobi no Uta" and "LIPS" singles.

As to albums: Maybe their newest, KAT-TUN III -Queen of Pirates- (definately the LE - more songs)?

I say check out all of the stuff that they have put out , be it singles & albums since so far they have put out 7 singles & 3 albums so you more or less can catch up

album wise , I LOVE their latest KAT-TUN III QUEEN OF PIRATES so much so that I crowned this album as my fave album of the year & not to mention it's the very 1st JE album I listened to

That's also a way to go. I personally would like to have specific songs pointed out, though, because I usually don't download albums. Otherwise there wouldn't be any surprises if I decided to buy the albums later.
I don't know how MirrorcleHeaven* handles these things, though.

i really like their PVs. i feel sorry for the other groups at times since JE obviously gives KAT-TUN more $$$ for their PVs.

i actually think -Queen of Pirates - = Best of KAT-TUN! but when i compare my least favorite tracks on both albums, i like the one on -QoP- better. (MOTHER/FATHER vs. BLUE TUESDAY). hahaha! i also like the overall feel on -QoP- better too. the growth of the group's style, it's more experimental, etc.

^ eh? "YOU" is on "cartoon KAT-TUN II You" (get it, get it? :eyebrow). it's a bonus track on the Normal Edition, i believe. i don't think i have it since i got the First Press. but thank goodness for downloads. :P

i like their ~hardcore~ style they have going on right now. it's what makes them unique and different from other JE groups. :D

"YOU" was supposed to be a single, i think, since it was the OP song to Kame's drama "Sapuri". hence why a PV was made. but Jin went bye-bye.

but i'm kinda glad it wasn't a single. i don't think we would've gotten "Bokura no Machi de". JIN, THAT WAS THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT YOUR HIATUS. i LOVE "BnMd" so much. :smitten

YOU's not really single material imo

I want them to put out a new single soon & will be great if it was a ballad or a double a-side

they sound good doing ballads imo especially for BnMd
