yay for the MS perf. :D I just want to see her stunnin' like the JEWEL performances *_* (hopefully)

tokyoxjapanxfan 7th December 2009 04:15 PM

so at CDTV Super Live, Ayu sang You were... and Rule. She wore a pinky fluffy dress (my roommate said モコモコ/mokomoko, which is like...furry, i thought... but i'm not sure...) and then she came out with her dancers in her bondage-y outfit to sing Rule.

Spoiler:
i'm disappointed with the choice of Rule. OF ALL the songs she could have sang, she chose Rule?! UGH. i mean, come on now. xP

noidea 7th December 2009 04:21 PM

You Were...and Rule is great, but fluffy pink dress? o.0

AyuGAME 7th December 2009 04:23 PM

Rule is great...can't wait to see her you were... performance

love in music 7th December 2009 04:31 PM

I wasn't expecting Rule but I'm happy she sang it since it's one of my favorite ayu songs. I can't wait to see it!

What I'm confused about is if the CDTV Super Live is the same thing as their New Years show or if this is a separate thing. If it is the new years show, this is the first time that she would be doing a pre-recorded performance instead of performing at the live show. (except for 07/08 where they showed a concert performance of hers instead of performing live)

I said Sunrise and Sunset TV performances, I haven't seen all of AT09 LOL.

maze 7th December 2009 05:28 PM

Rule??? D:

Read my post again and you will notice that the first half was about the TV-performances

Great You were...+Rule <3

Sorry, distracted by work ^^;

And they were vocally great o_O? I don't remember hearing any bad performances, especially for sunset.

SunshineSlayer 7th December 2009 07:21 PM

^ Then I don't understand what your definition of a "bad" performance is. :) Sunset were acceptable, but Sunrise.... and that Boys and Girls performance with Sunrise at Music Fair was just embarrassing. Why was she holding the mic out for the audience to sing where there is no audience there?

hmm, correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time Ayu appeared on CDTV's New Year show was when she sang 1LOVE. The following year they simply aired talkin' 2 myself live from CDL as you said.

If I am not wrong she sang Mirrorcle World and SURREAL on CDTV Supper Live the last year; and somehow I am pretty sure we're talking about two different shows here :)

Her voice for the Sunset performances was perfect to me O_O; And Sunrise was pure fun, even if her vocals weren't top notch they certainly weren't horrific. That song isn't about great vocals anyway, just having fun (which is probably why I like it much more live). And the camera was Ayu's audience. She was singing to everyone who was watching, should only people who are present get the benefit of a high energy performance? It may have been a little silly, but seriously, some fans (not talking about you directly) should lighten up. Ayu's all about having some fun this year. That's just my opinion anyway. I DO hope her performances are like Sunrise and Sunset, she sounded great and she was really into the performances, that's all I ask for. :)

Same thing alright. It's not like they would do a separate SP this close to the new years. Especially not an unannounced one. Besides since 1993, haven't CDTV only aired specials during the spring and autumn (excluding the new years show)? Perhaps a pre-recorded performance is positive for a change. I've always considered the Kouhaku + CDL + CDTV SP schedule quite ridic. Of course, it was far worse back in the day when she still attended the Japan Record Awards.

^ Fun or not, the basic point is vocally they were just bad performances. It is possible to have fun and good vocals at the same time. :) The thing about the Boys and Girls performance though I just didn't get - holding the microphone out to what? The crew members? It just looked plain ridiculous, like she is so rehearsed in performing Boys and Girls that she couldn't figure out, "ok, this is Music Fair, I need to do Boys and Girls differently."

That's what I thought. It seems she is doing a lot of things differently at the end of the year this time and I'm wondering why.

You and I are just going to have to disagree, because I thought they were great performances and she sang just fine. She's progressively gotten better since the failure of her left ear and I see nothing terribly wrong with her vocals that warrents a bad performance. But that's just me.

SunshineSlayer 7th December 2009 10:50 PM

Yeah, I mean if you truly actually believe that her vocals have gotten BETTER since her ear thing, then I just don't know what to say to you. :)

4ever*ayu 7th December 2009 11:13 PM

^^ hey..hey..no need to argue :D
anyone can have their own perspective on how ayu sounded live recently, but all of us still enjoy (at least interested on watch her latest performance)) her performances!!
that's the ayu fans spirit!!
