I don't really think of it as a big deal. If I remember that ridiculous article on it, it had to do with them respecting a Korean holiday. Just because they are promoting in Japan doesn't mean they become Japanese over night. They're Korean first and foremost. *shrugs*

Besides I'm sure they'll end up wearing a kimono eventually.

I really don't see the big deal about the kimono. It's just clothes. It's not like they were asked to wear it during a specific Japanese holiday. If that had been the case then tsk tsk on them for refusing. Would have understood the "outrage".
