pff we heard 5 sec of July 1st who is basically identical of what we heard in the "so edited" version ... and TV reports in my opinion are hardly flattering for any singer the sound and the quality are always bad !
I do not close my eyes on the fact that her voice may be edited but come on ! I don't heard so much of autotune.

I was at the final two dates of A BEST LIVE and she sounded superb. people try to tell me what I head when they weren't even there. I know it was 2013's concert but it's the same drama all the time. give it a rest!

A bad sound quality doesn't make you going off key and so on.

It sounds as edited as her DVDs. (just compare).
I already compared several unedited tv lives and edited DVD lives, the difference is the same. You can clearly hear it, what is corrected and so on. It's really interesting imo.
Ayu never sang like that.
But if you don't hear the sound correction so much I understand why you don't agree with me. Her voice is overprocessed "nowadays", she looks like she is lipsynching the whole thing.

I was one of the few people to praise her voice on the TV report of Cdl 2013-2014... (Yet you can hear the editing in the final product if you compare).

Her performances have been quite edited since the 10th anniversary or so? But the autotune is heavier nowadays. On every live.

Sometimes she is off key, but so is everyone when singing... and quite frankly computers ruin the way we THINK people should sound. When people want 'perfect' they mean they want computers... rarely if at all can people sing the way a computer makes the voice sound 'perfect'

THANK YOU for this comment! I feel the same way. I can't enjoy her live releases since a-nation 2013 and A Best Live. I don't know what the heck happened to AVEX staff but they changed editing technology. I guess they switched from using Melodyne to using auto-tune. Now Ayu sounds like robot all the time. If you watch Asahi Dream Live you'll hear that old editing software was used and Ayu sounds like human! But all the rest live releases are real nightmare. I'm on verge of making a petition to stop this auto-tune abuse. The last live DVD I CAN enjoy is CDL 2012-2013.

I was there, at the actual live. This performance is EDITED THE HELL OUT. She sounded VERY good singing this song, they didn't have to overdo pitch-correction.
And you know what? I still remember what you said when I shared POM instrumentals.
I bought Tell all instrumental but my desire to share it was instantly killed.

I don't know how you can nitpick comparing the processing level of two heavily edited lives while you're going crazy when I just say "You can't judge the vocals/you can hear heavy editing throughout the show".

However I will try to answer you, WE WISH sounds more polished, but it can be due to the back track which is kinda loud, adding to the overall smoothness. So no big difference imo.

I'm not saying she was bad the whole show, I only heard like 10 sec. She doesn't need that much editing anymore IMO (at least I hope...), and that may explain why she sounds like a robot. She may be singing good enough, it's not perfect but it doesn't' require so much processing like in 2008.

And to me it is also very distracting. I'm already distracted by all the "drama" acting, all the dancers, now I'm also distracted by her voice! She sounds so perfect all the time, I feel less emotion through her voice, its seems so easy for her to sing without any effort. It's really weird. Those are one of the things that keep me from being excited by new lives.
