An actual queen who can write beautiful and empowering lyrics without being pedophilic, misogynistic, or rapey? I'm here for it 100%.

I just hope the international fandom can cool down eventually. The ethnocentrism and xenophobia really jumped out these past couple of days, but it's good to hear that many k-armys are understanding.

I'll just leave this here:

BTS (technically, RM) gave a speech at the UN headquarters yesterday

ayu_ready? 30th September 2018 10:51 PM

I'm proud of them, RM is my bias, he did a good job!

mi|kshake 30th September 2018 11:00 PM

Wow, great speech!

BTS are going to appear on Graham Norton in the UK next Fri so looking forward to watching that even though they'll just be the music guest at the end so won't be featured much.

In other news, DNA is growing on me.

rainbow_smile 3rd October 2018 11:56 AM

^ bighit still hasn't confirmed anything, and the only sources claiming that BTS will appear are wikipedia, digiguide and Metro, which aren't 100% reliable afaik, so it could still turn out to be false :( But I really really hope it's true!

mi|kshake 6th October 2018 02:29 AM

I happened to catch the end of tonight's Graham Norton ep and they were going through the guests appearing next week and they showed a photo of BTS! Although I don't think the episode will be filmed until this Thursday?

rainbow_smile 6th October 2018 12:32 PM

Yeah, they mentioned BTS in the synopsis on the BBC website on Thursday and last night BigHit finally tweeted an article confirming their attendance!

Yes, it'll be filmed on October 11 and aired on October 12 ^^ I wanted to attend but I didn't manage to win the tickets haha

mi|kshake 6th October 2018 03:37 PM

Awww that sucks! Looking forward to the show on Friday!

RM released a new mixtape playlist, "mono"!

Here are the links where you can listen to the album: https://twitter.com/BigHitEnt/status...89785131773952

It's really good, I love all the songs on it :luv2

I listened to the previews on iTunes and enjoyed what I've heard so added it to my wishlist and will buy it at some point.

Never listened to this band, ever. Any suggestions where I should start..? To give a little picture of my type of Kpop I like - the album RED LINE by f(x), Paparazzi/The Boys/Run Devil Run and BoA's Kiss My Lips album. Please give me suggestions if you want! :D

thinkingoutloud89 23rd October 2018 09:17 PM

^Maybe IDOL or Spring Day?

I haven't listened to their entire discography so can only recommend from the handful of songs I've heard but my favourite is Fake Love! I'd also recommend Not Today and Blood, Sweat and Tears.

thinkingoutloud89 24th October 2018 09:01 AM

^haha taste is a funny thing. i think Fake Love and not Today are their worst songs. save me was okay tho.

rainbow_smile 24th October 2018 08:26 PM

My all-time favourites are Spring Day and euphoria. I also love I NEED U, The Truth Untold and First Love. But if you're more into upbeat songs those are probably not a good match for you haha

As for the title songs, aside from spring day and INU I'd say My favourites are also Fake Love and Blood, Sweat and Tears

I'm not sure if they have anything similar to those f(x) and SNSD songs but I'll think about it

thinkingoutloud89 24th October 2018 09:10 PM

DNA is probably the closest to f(x) title-track wise

rainbow_smile 27th October 2018 11:43 AM

They (well, technically RM and JK) featured on a Steve Aoki song:
