OMG YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

XFER 24th March 2011 06:57 PM

I was reading somewhere else about people worried if it was going to be a physical edition of the album. And I wonder, is there any chance this project won't be released on a physical cd? I heard she is planning to release this as some kind of application or something...

We thought the same thing about the singles for Volta, but eventually they were all released physically.

Björk is too supestitious to reveal a whole lot of details about her album this 'early' on.

Apparently she got inspired to do one of the songs, by a conference. It was hosted by National Geographic and at it she drank a bit of whiskey with some people who'd been studying lions and insects in Africa. Also, she's done recording half of the songs already.

From what I understand in the article when they said

"The multi-media endeavour encompasses her music, installations and live shows, and celebrating the use of modern technology by utilising the internet."

Is that this album is also going to accompanied by an Apple app, an exhibit, and a tour (I think).

Leave it to her to incorporate insects and atoms bombarding each other into her music. But I am more excited for a tour than a new album. I've never seen her live but I've always wanted to. I want to hear Joga and Pagan poetry live~

excuse me I want it a physical cd -.-

wildconnetta 25th March 2011 05:21 PM

I keep forgetting to post this :usaidwat

It was announced that the new album is going to have a limited 12" release, as well as being released as a digital download and on CD and will be released in September. In preparation for Biophilla the official website has also been completely redone.

JackieRos 22nd June 2011 08:54 PM

hsienko 22nd June 2011 09:45 PM

LOVE.iT or DiE :heart

XFER 25th June 2011 10:55 PM

Oh my... thanks for the link Gubsi!!!!

Well, the song slightly reminds me of My Spine, which isn't a good thing. A little 'homogenic-like' beats do not save this song from being incredibly boring. I don't hate it, I just think it's pointless, and the ending while a little better, falls flat to me just stuck at the very end. Not enough to save the song. I guess I need to die :(

edit - That said, it's so much better than all those other artists listed in the divas albums in this same forum. Björk's worst is many times better than most mainstream

Kanzaki 25th June 2011 11:52 PM

Thanks for the link!

I think the song is ok (now halfway through it) Her vocals are really good and the song reminds me of a less mellow Vespertine track. I wish it was just that tad bit more wild and quirky. To me it sounds like a song that is sort of half finished. That being said...I still like it a bit. Björk's just too damn good to make a song that's crap...

Omg and it gets a bit amazing at the end. If only 50% of the album is as good as this, I'm more than satisfied.

I think it could have eventually progressed into something more awesome but it never got there, but its not bad; I like it.

JackieRos 26th June 2011 04:36 AM

Exactly! It had the elements to be somehting great, create a build up, make better use of the beats, but it stayed in its comfort zone lol. I still like it also lol

I'm a fan! Bachelorette, Play Dead, Pagen Poetry and All Is Full of Love are my favourites.
