I think she's found a style of music that a lot of people like, and it suits her voice pretty well, that's why the album is heavily influenced by one type of music.

I think with her next album she might shake things up - she usually delivers with her b-sides :)

I think she uses the single b-sides to be a little different, shake things up, and be more upbeat, but for the album, I think she is "playing it safe" by sticking to her usual sound

Yesterday she was already catching up to Tak Matsumoto fast! I think this might ACTUALLY be her first no. 1 album! Let's just ignore the fact that the sales are pretty pathetic for a no. 1 album and enjoy her accomplishment XD

That's actually not too uncommon. A lot of artists have their own personal site and a site from their record label. From the top of my head I can think of L'Arc~en~Ciel and Gackt.
