Refrain and Destiny weren't found on the same single. Destiny and Since 1999 were. So that's a totally different case. If she makes a Sunlight ~LOVE is ALL~ or something for the album, then those situations would be similar. :yes

But honestly, to ME, it's a waste of space to include Sunset in the album when it's like the same melody as Sunrise. and we all know how exaggerating Ayu can be when she speaks "this album is absolutely new and fresh!!!" and we get NEXT LEVEL or something lol. I doubt she means it to its full extent when she said she can't imagine Sunrise and Sunset being "separate"... but that's all selfish argument for my secret fantasy, so oh well.

I liked my story. D: with the exception of a few songs. But I agree, if we get sunrise/sunset/you were/ballad/red line (I hope not) she better not have 5 interludes and the album better not be 10 tracks long.

Yeah I can understand that. But as someone else pointed out, sunrise was a hit and she said she's not going to separate them, so this may be the first time she puts similar songs on the same album. What I'm hoping is that she mixes them into one new song or has Sunrise and then instrumentally transition the song into Sunset for one long ass track at the end of the album LOL. But one way or another, they're both going to be on there.

I'm praying for 10 new ALBUM tracks xD; She's been recording a lot so who knows... It usually only takes a day or two to record right? If she's been doing it for a month maybe this will be a lengthy album? :shrug

MY STORY is definitely not bad. But I consider Ayu's album tracks to be the most interesting and for that album only the album songs with PVs were the most interesting and the rest sounded like rejects from RAINBOW or something xD; lol. That's just me though! I'm not a big fan of dearest either, I have wildly different tastes compared with most Ayu fans lol.

Ayu really does like to try new things, but at the same time you can easily hear similarities in A LOT of her songs. There are far too many clones. I understand that is common in many artists, but for me personally it is too apparent in Ayu's music. This is both a gift and a curse for me, as sometimes she'll clone her good stuff, but others not. I didn't like the You Were/Ballad single. My personal opinion was it was very similar to other things she has done and it felt uninspired but that is my own personal opinion and as long as Ayu sells, I am happy.

But I think for a new album she really should do soemthing completely unexpected and stop playing it safe. AVEX must be pretty protective of her streak of #1 singles, because they sure don't swim out far in the water. It reminds me of the irony behind Celine's CD "Taking Chances". It was an album full of songs she'd done a billion times. The same old words and melodies plopped together with the same instruments and it was nothing special.

As wonderful as a "signature sound" can be, it can also be as bad as an actor who can only play Villains. Eventually you get sick of seeing the same person in the same role and you're dying for them to play a hero or someone silly.

Ayu is always in my heart and she will never truly disappoint me, but I wish she would take a chance like the Sugababes did and just do something completely different than anything she's ever done. NEXT LEVEL had some bold chances on it and produced some of my alltime favorite Ayu songs "Rule, Rollin, Energize, LOVE N HATE, SPARKLE!!!!, Load of the SHUGYO". But I think it's time for the FINAL LEVEL, and time to face the end boss. LIONHEART FTW!!!!! lol

oh please, you're not the only one. I'm not very fond of M, rainbow, free and easy, hanabi, marionette, and i think mu is her second worst album. asfxx being the first of course. :P

Ayu rarely takes chances with her singles because she said she likes to keep them mainstream. Bold & Delicious is the only single that comes to mind as far as her trying something totally different with her singles. But otherwise, album tracks are where it's at. :yes Her album tracks are often way more experimental and different compared to her singles, so it's safe to say she will this time around as well.

Can you give me a long list of songs you think sound like clones if you think there are that many? I can only name a handful of songs that sound alike in her discography, and only a couple that I could call "clones". I'd really like to understand your thoughts because I am just not getting how you can call so many of her songs clones. If so many were clones I would not be a fan of her, srsly.

I didn't even know we were anticipating an album xD. But I'm glad. I was listening to NEXT LEVEL today and I think I like it more than I originally did. I hope the new album has some electronic elements. =D

i'm hoping that since the last single had two ballads it means that sunset will be left off the album.
