Seems like this sort of thing is what she meant by "When I sing all of these songs, they become rock" or whatever, haha.

I wonder if she thinks she'd be sacrificing vocal power or something if she sang softly?

AyUmIXx 29th April 2010 01:47 AM

anyway, in which city is that?
Osaka?

SURREAL__RAINBOW 29th April 2010 02:32 AM

she did better with meaning of love than with all her microphone lives lol

she still went out of tune a few times but she did alright...

i think she forces her voice because if she sings too quietly she can't hear herself properly (it happens to me too).

anyway forcing her voice isn't gonna help at all... she can't even sing Boys & Girls

I would say she's not really even trying to "sing" Boys&Girls. Same sort of thing goes for evolution and so on. She's just screaming the lyrics because she's having fun. With those songs, it's sort of forgivable since it's a party-like atmosphere and no one really cares, haha.

Yeah that's what I thought too.. she hasn't really "sung" Boys&Girls very many times in her career. The performances are usually full of screaming to get the energy up and also since her voice can't be as high pitched as it is in the original song.

AyUmIXx 29th April 2010 09:00 AM

yea for encore parts, I don't think she should necessarily sing the songs perfectly..
she's having fun after all haha XD

roanmy 29th April 2010 11:14 AM

I don't get why she kills the "dakedo"-part in Mol? Other than that it's pretty good!

ayumisrael 29th April 2010 11:16 AM

Either she couldn't hear herself well at those moments or just couldn't reach the notes at the time.

kagami 29th April 2010 11:19 AM

This recording was from the Niigata live I think. Isn't that where she lost her voice?

It is also pretty obvious the reason she tends to force her voice live, the poor girl can't hear herself properly. Stage looks awesome though. :)

AyUmIXx 29th April 2010 11:48 AM

she lost her vocal in Osaka :)
She performs in Niigata today :)

kagami 29th April 2010 12:52 PM

Ahh, thanks! Got my dates mixed up lol.

She lost her voice at the end of the Osaka leg (the 3rd show) but this is from the first Osaka date (OR the Nagoya dates) where she performed meaning of Love. I wonder if she switches the song because the songs aren't that great live? (Like how RAINBOW was axed in ARENA TOUR 2003-2004)

I'm really not sure why it sounds so bad, but eh. Cam recordings of concerts usually don't sound that great anyway.

She's still got it, it's just... very on and off, it seems.

why are you making excuses for her...

if i was to pay full price for a overpriced concert (such as this) i would want singing not screaming, I can do that at home...

She probably doesn't since "bad enough" or sing at least decently most of the time since I don't think that Japanese fans (even hardcore) would tolerate it often. Specially when they will to pay a high price to go to her concert. And she has many dates for big arenas.

truehappiness 29th April 2010 11:47 PM

It seems to me like from most reviews that her voice starts out really good, but by the encore, things start to get bad, haha.

This person went to all three Osaka performances and most of the reports start out with "Great voice!" for the beginning of the concert, and then they avoid talking about her voice in the encore performances, heh.

Yeah, she can pull off a good live vocally, but when she messes up it's kind of sad, because it gets really, really bad. As long as she doesn't sound like that all the time, I'm ok. I'm kind of scared though, because I'm planning on saving up money to go to one of her concerts next year or the year after and I would be disappointed if I had to witness something like that moL performance.

AyUta 30th April 2010 12:45 AM

Haha, poor ayu. At least she tries her best to give the best performances :).
